content bloat asside, and stash tabs you really really want to pay for after a while. It's incredible that this is a free game

A good sequel to the first game, beautiful graphics, adventure and danger around every corner.
Honestly if you where interested in the first game, but never played it. Or if you liked it, you will find the same systems under a modern engine here. It's CPU load problems will be addressed, but even before that with a decently powerful machine the game runs pretty good (at least for me, I can report 70-80 fps in the wild, where most of the gameplay takes place. and around 50 fps in town.)

Complaining about a game having MTX in 2020+ seems pointless.. It's there because the publisher side of Capcom wanted extra money. Tough Its almost like the development side gave them the finger, as everything sold as MTX is quite readily available ingame, so the DLC's can just be ignored.
Complain about what's actually wrong with the game. If I had to complain about anything it would be the auto save being so generous that if you fall halfway down a cliff to certain doom, and can't get up, the autosave may softlock you and force you to start from your last inn save... Which was likely hours ago... Having a few saveslots to choose from would fix this.
no way to in-game delete your file for a new play-trough or a speedrun is also a choice that was made.. If you ever want to start over, you got to delete your save manually.

I can't speak for the DLC's but the main game has solid gameplay & good music, a story that get's more interesting as things get revealed, but anime as ♥♥♥♥. So if you hate anime this won't be for you. But if the idea of a soulslike story driven game with solid takes that does it's own thing sounds fun abselutly give it a go. The "class" system is pretty awesome

Honestly the best Tales of: game i've ever played. It turns some of the cliché rpg trends on its head. There is no black and white. There isn't really a fight between good and evil. Instead, it clashes different sets of morality and shades of gray against each other. Cold hard Logic versus Hot burning Emotions. It poses important questions like: Do the needs of the many outweigh those of the individual? Do the means always justify the end? What does it mean to be alive? and other such questions. Instead of just raising these questions, though, the game actually provides multiple answers from different angles. From it's flora of interesting characters.

The english voice acting is superb (with the exeption of one child later on..) while the game is pretty liniar for the first half, until it opens up for side quest's from your companions. It is never boring and always give you something to do and inmerse yourself in.

It has a very robust combat system that has been improved imensly over tales of zestria (you can rebind key's for one) the game runs at 60 fps

I really wanted to like this game, I don't mind the slow AI, Even tough its at the same quality of Heroes 2 or 3.. the clunky animations or re used models. animation and modelling cost a lot of money to do, and Im guessing the game did not have a high budget. or all the money went into making a map maker that can make random 3d maps. I remember when heroes VI came out and they said they couldn't make a 3d map maker, it would be to dificult and to expensive, turns out they where right on the expensive part, as the game is severly lacking.

AI could be patched later, but the fact that so many champaign games have gamebreaking bugs in them, at launch is rediculus. Those are mostly fixed now, but what really breakes it for me is the out of sync errors on multiplayer, even over a LAN network whitout simultainius turns and whitout spectateing combats I can never get a game to last longer then 2 weeks if im LUCKY.

I like the new flanking mechanics, but I dont like the change to warcries, or the fact that you can't make a custom hero anymore like you could in VI. That was cool.

its been a month, some of the gamebreaking single player bugs have been fixed, but there is still some memory leaking bugs and the out of syncadge making it unplayable.

Im severly disapointed whit the lack of contact they have had with the comunity so far and the sorry state the game came out in, and still is for many people.

I'll return in half a year or so to see if its finaly fixed. And maybe then it will be playable enough that i can see if it is at all balanced.
