I first bought this from the dev's store and have been playing for quite a while, but I'm glad to see it back on steam.

Difficult learning curve and the game doesn't explain a lot but there's good community resources and after a little practice, monster attack patterns are easy enough to learn. I'm bad at pvp in most games and don't usually enjoy it much but this game strikes a decent balance and it's not too difficult to avoid with careful play. I really enjoy the dungeony aesthetic and it definitely scratches a niche that not many others do.

That said, it is very much under development and you can expect very frequent changes and pretty wild swings in terms of balance and sometimes even content. But the developers are really receptive to the community and they have a good track record of changing what isn't working.

The last time I enjoyed a team shooter was Battlefield Bad Company 2 and this one reminds me a lot of those days. The graphics are amusing, and the stuff that matters is all there. They really nailed the feel of a lot of the weapons, the map design is pretty good and the destructibility is a literal blast.

The community also has largely been pretty good, from the guys role playing their silly block men super seriously when calling for medics to actual cooperative team info it has been pretty good. And the options to mute and report people being so simple is the best I've seen in a game. You just press f1 to mute and shift f1 to report, so if someone is being bothersome it doesn't even interrupt your flow to mute them and forget they're even there.

Bought this on a whim during a sale thinking if I had a few hours of fun it would be worth the cost, and it has easily delivered. Plus the install size is so small that I can just keep it installed for whenever I feel like playing a shooter! Highly recommend.

It can be a little tough to get going when you first drop in, but before too long most resources are trivial and you're rolling in space cash. I wouldn't recommend this as strictly a survival game due to exhausting that gameplay in just a few hours, but if you enjoy base building and exploration there is a lot of content here. There's something relaxing about just exploring planets, and looking for the perfect new home.

This is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Everyting about it comes together so perfectly to create a really complelling and immersive experience. The music, the atmosphere, the story, all of it blends so well. It's really easy to empathize with and fall into. Maybe it's because I am from near where it is set, and Max reminds me of myself, but it had me hooked almost right away.

The actual gameplay elements are not difficult. The game is mostly about talking to different people and exploring the world around you, but the things you see and learn all have an impact later. And if you're unhappy with how a conversation went, you can always rewind and do it again. But, you can only rewind in the short term so sometimes things will come back two episodes later. This makes every decision feel meaningful and important.

The dialogue is a little cheesy in the first couple episodes but it does get ironed out later and I never felt that it was all *that* bad. I know people who are a lot like some of these characters and they do talk like that quite often.

I've played through the first four episodes once and am working on a second playthrough with different choices while I wait for the fifth. This is a really wonderful game that makes such a compelling example for how a game can be art. It's absolutely beautiful.

Only takes about four hours or so. It is split into three chapters fairly evenly. The first hour...I wasn't really sold. Some cheesy jokes kept pulling me out of it. But by the time you get about halfway through, it will have you hooked. And I spent the last hour crying my eyes out. If you like story driven emotional games, get this. It was fantastic.
