This game made me *feel* things. I went from "I should probably delete my Google data." to "oh god, what do I have to do?" to "No...no no no no".

An emotional experience through and through, I loved how uncomfortable this game made me feel, how intensely the story is shown to you in both the gameplay and cutsvenes both. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys that sort of sensation.





In slightly spoiler comments about the gameplay, I think the game-as-game is a bit hampered by the ritual objectives being the same every year, but that being said it honestly aided the game-as-immersive story aspect. As it went on I found myself more detached from the beasts, less worrying about every detail of their lives and more just what the ritual required. My notes went from obsessively detailing their schedules to scribbled marks to denote where to cut...this game's atmosphere definitely gets into you.

I would definitely be interested in seeing endless mode introduce new (randomized?) objectives you have to figure out to enhance the puzzle aspect though, I'm definitely interested in digging into the puzzle aspect of this game as much as I enjoyed the story aspects as well.


Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone looking to *feel* for a while. Just masterfully crafted experience.
