A Shame.
I felt like underneath all the optimisation problems there was a good game, however not enough to save it. Rage is riddled with problems; it has poor audio balancing, horrible screen tearing for both AMD and Nvidia users and some of the worst controls I have ever seen in a first person shooter.
Perhaps instead of hiring John Goodman to do the voice acting (A nice touch but ultimately unnecessary) they could have invested more in the optimisation.
Dissapointing considering these were the folks who made such legendary games as Doom and Wolfenstein

The initial release was alright. The developers ripped away all the fun and pocketed our money

Wow, this is a bloody good shooter. It returns to the roots of the Doom series , it feels like playing the first one again.

Gaming from the Steam Link is superb, with the exception that on on occasion is freezes up (Possibly due to my mediocre internet connection), however I find it's greatest use is streaming desktop to the TV. I wanted to watch whatever I wanted from the comfort of my living room and not have the restrictions of a particular service (e.g. Netflix, LoveFilm, NowTV etc...). Instead of buying a whole new console or smart TV to gain this I would highly recomend the Link, I can now pull up any (very very legal) site to watch whatever I want, whenever I want, free, forever.
Good for gaming, good for multimedia, good.

Where to start... this game was more finished than most of the things released by EA these days, and more enjoyable too. Can we get multiplayer support for this in the future? I hope so. I can't say I disliked this game because it really is just 1.5 mins long. So all I have to say is, HOW THE ♥♥♥♥ DOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS GET ONTO PC BUT NOT GODAMN GTA 5 1+ YEAR AFTER RELEASE?

This is an unfinished review due to the fact I haven't played far enough to give it a completely accurate rating.
------------------------
First Impressions:

First time I launched the game it crashed, which was a bad sign. However after second launch it ran fine, the menu is simple yet very nicely designed and manoeuvrable. The cutscenes have a nice FPS and the NPC's voices are interesting but feel a little monotone. Each character has a pissed off attitude which gets tiresome after 2-3 minutes of conversation. The most important part of the game would be the parkour / free running and the combat, the FPS while running or mele fighting drops dramatically from a solid 60fps to 25ish, I hope this can be patched later on. Combat is satisfying but not fun to watch at 25 frames.
------------------------

Zombie Mode:
After the horrible frame drops from single player Dying Light, I was'nt expecting much from the zombie mode, however it was better than expected. Becoming the nightmare zombies and attacking compounds of survivors with UV lights and baseball bats was much more entertaining. The physics engine feels completely different too, there are no frame drops it sticks at 60fps even though you are flying about the city while swinging on tenticles like a zombie spiderman. Currently the unfinished 'become the zombie' is better than the single player campaign.
-----------------------

Overall:
So far the storyline is smooth and believable (for a zombie game).
Combat system is nice but feels pretty much the same as Dead Island.
Frame drops occur regularly when free running or in combat.
Terrain is beautiful but the game has to run on low settings to save the FPS.

The game is good but not worth £40.

Brilliant, funny and very satisfying. This game is much more focused on mindless violence and stabbing than FC3, it has no skill tree and no crafting, no inventory for objects you find in the wilderness it has shops where you can get a selection of weapons that are frankly op as ♥♥♥♥. Straight forward, no wandering about confused at all. This game is brilliant and is worth the money. 8.5/10 'murica

Imagine you fell off a bridge into cold water, then four school trucks fell off that bridge and landed on you. The trucks set on fire and explode incinerating your crushed corpse untill you are a pile of ash. That ash was eaten by a dog and then ♥♥♥♥ out and thrown at Kim jong un, kim launches 4 nuclear missiles that destroy humanity and erases all life from earth. (I didn't know where I was going with that story) Essentialy this game is cancer...

Completed the single player in about 5 hours, felt longer though. It's a brilliant game with satisfying hits and kicks, the game itself lasts ages because of all the levels you can re-play and customise. Overall it was definitely worth the money I paid and the game continues to amuse and keep you captivated long after the singleplayer has finished.
