Compared to prior games in the series, this is a dumbed down product (which makes it more accessible, yes), but less fun. A lot of things are not really handled well compared to prior games.
Plus the constant crashes get really old, really fast.

Have you played a Bethesda game before? Then you've played Starfield. Have you dreamt of Mass Effect as run through a Bethesda-shaped filter? Then you've played Starfield. It doesn't do anything particularly new, or anything particularly well compared to prior games. Still many of the same glitches are present, many of the same issues are present, and the quests and locations feel even less inspired than before, all for a new price.

Pros:
It's pretty to look at.
It's familiar to play, because it's basically every other Bethesda game.
Several of the systems can be completely ignored.

Cons:
Several of the systems can be completely ignored.
The main quest is lackluster to say the least.
The companions are... well, they exist. That's about as far as praise goes. The voice actors did their best. The writing for them though... yeah.
The writing is, at best, very boring.
There's supposed to be AI, I heard, in this game? I haven't yet seen any indication of 'intelligence' in most of this game.
Procedural generation is not very exciting.
Most encounters will be in copy-paste environments.
And, of course, we continue the tradition of quests that can't be completed because of glitches. :)

And it does nothing to justify either cost or it's rating. It's the most PG-13 M-rated game out there.

Edit, for June 9th: and now with the same paid mods everyone hated in Skyrim and Fallout 4!

Early Access Review
I wish Steam would give me a way of rating other than a 'yes/no' binary.
Honestly, my opinion of "Dune: Spice Wars" is that it is a very fine game. But only 'fine'. Not good. Not bad. It feels like a game a decade old in terms of the mechanics (which are very solid for what they are) but they don't do anything new or unique or interesting. I think the most interesting thing in the inclusion of sandworms (which one would expect from Dune) as a random chance for your harvesters, and even then... other games have done similar. At this time, there's nothing incredibly stand out about the game, however I look forward to whatever updates come down the pipeline and improve the game.

A fun, if short, point and click adventure. I'd love to have seen the world fleshed out more, more cases in this world.

I wish Steam would give me the option to give a numbered review. Honestly, Humankind is a 6/10 game, it's okay. It's serviceable. It just doesn't do anything new, original, or terribly interesting. You could get the same experience playing a Civ game. Would I have bought it knowing what I was getting into? Probably not. Am I unhappy I bought it? Not really. It's an okay game.

I would recommend this ONLY if you are willing to put in the time and effort to mod it, otherwise, pass on it.

A fun RPG, with a curious setting, that feels fresh, and a good throwback to older CRPGs like Baldur's Gate, etc.

Stability? Nope. Fun, enh. Plays like another generic 4x, and just is not a stable game, unfortunately.

This game had so much potential. Sadly, unfortunately, it doesn't play like a complete game, and promised features have yet to materialize, and with over a year since the last update or announcement that I've seen, I can only assume it's been abandoned. What is there is... enjoyable, but difficult to get through, but comes out at something of a dead end with little more to actually do, leaving it, as said, feeling unifinished.

Do you want challenge? Do you want Steampunk? Do you want post-apocalyptic city-building? Then dear ***ing hell, this is the game for you.

Okay, getting serious now, I actually LOVED this game. Yes, I played it early enough that no bug fixes had been implemented, but it DOES make you think, and prioritize. IT is fun, it is enjoyable, it is occasionally frustrating, but that's okay!
