You get to gather resources, and build stuff - to unleash your creativity. Yeah, releasing paid DLC during Early Access was a REALLY bad move on Studio Wildcard's part. Optimization is an issue, according to many people. But,considering the fact that I had bought the game a few months after it launched on Steam, the performance has GREATLY improved since then, and the game is likely to be more optimized in the future prior to its release. It scores over many AAA games, to be honest.
