The story isn't as good as the one in the first game but still very good. The movement is good. The combat, I don't know why, I liked more in the first game but still good here. I liked the map more on the first one but this is still very appealing. The gear system I find it to be a bit unnecessary but it seems to be a trend in the last few years for single player games to have randomly generated gear stats, but they don't affect your gameplay much in this game, I personally didn't care much about them and I did fine. I liked the night more in the first one.

Overall, a good game that is worth playing, but if you made me choose between this and the first one, I would choose the first one.

The story in this feels strange, some things don't make much sense, and the challenges in it seem to be focused for high legend level to play at higher difficulties if you want gold in all of them, that's what I felt at least. Still worth a try though, the several levels it offers are fun to do in my opinion, although very straightforward. Look at this DLC as a challenges pack, for both combat and parkour.

Fun game. Story is good, combat is fun, movement is smooth, the graphics are good, I don't know why they made a remaster of this.
There's only one thing I found odd, which was the dialogues. Sometimes there seems to be a lack of emotion, and other times characters simply know your name without you ever telling them, but nothing major that'll disturb your experience with the game in my opinion.

Fun game with a realistic combat and a story based in real history and places, although a bit buggy as you get stuck in steps or trees sometimes but nothing major.

One major thing I want to point out regarding the realism, is that you can skip big chunks of the game in several situations. For instance, if your objective in the narrative is to find a certain individual, and the quests take you to place A where you talk to NPC A, which then asks you to go to place B to talk to NPC B, which in turn asks you to kill NPC C, who will have a clue to where your objective is, if you already know where this objective is because it is your second playthrough or following a guide (definitely do not recommend doing that!), or if you end up finding it by mistake while exploring, reaching that place will continue the quest line and the narrative, skipping over the other steps you would normally have to make.

Short game with a plethora of jokes and references throughout the game. As you progress you unlock new features which is really nice. Eh, could be longer I guess.

Fun nostalgic browser game from back in the day with some complexity when it comes to tower defense games: leveling up, collecting passive buffs, skill points distribution, gem combination, wave enraging, and more.

After playing NieR:Automata purely blind, I started looking into it's side material, and although some questions got some answers or context, a lot remained in blank, so I knew I had to play the prequel. Good thing that a remaster ("version upgrade" according to the developers) was released not long ago so it was the perfect alignment of the stars for this to happen, because otherwise I would have to emulate the original or something.
Now that I finished this one, I can say that a lot has been answered, but another lot of questions have showed up (I'm starting to see a pattern here oh-ho), so guess I'll play the Drakengard games (Drag-On Dragoon in Japan). I will, however, wait a few years and see if remasters or remakes are released.

In regards to the game itself, to me, personally, in terms of story is side by side with its successor so it is well worth your time. As to game mechanics, the combat in this one is weaker as you don't have as much variety in combos but the combat is still very enjoyable in my opinion.

I am not much into changing the characters' appearance, but lore is always welcome to me, in this case the 4 weapons' stories, even though there's nothing note worthy from these.

Fun little roguelike, not too complex and not very hard either, fun to play for some time.

Edit: Played some time offline, total playtime: 11.3 hours.
