I wrote this poem called:

In the Face of Terror

A foreign world
unfolds before me,
I behold the geometry
of dread.

Shapes fold and twist,
entangled, distorted,
fused faces emerge—
a being speaks to me:

"Fur klarati ferum so
glurhghi groalsati
cthum tier dzhake
nam ryo geb khen."

I see pain and anguish
within the creature’s eye,
a cosmic darkness
suddenly consumes me.

A dream begins—
floating sheets of paper,
burning in the air,
ash fills my lungs.

Awake and coughing,
gasping, I rise
and see a blackened mass
through the lens of a black hole.

The mass radiates horror;
a shiver runs cold
down my spine.
I am paralyzed with fear—

in the face of terror
from a foreign world.
