While DayZ Standalone is currently in the Alpha stage, it's still a blast to play! If you are a player of the DayZ mod, you are going to love the Standalone. Many of the features are still being slowly implemented in the game with a steady flow of patches. No vehicles yet, at the time of this post anywho, but plans are that they will be ingame soon. I definitely recommend the Standalone to any DayZ mod player out there, and to anyone who has not played the mod. It's a VERY addictive game that gives you a unique experience unlike many other games in the same genre.. Love the adrenaline rush of your first pvp encounter.

Just get used to being KOS'd here and there.. lol

Another year has passed and we are on the heals of the new DayZ map, Lavonia. And releasing alongside of Lavonia, the 1.06 patch. At the time of me typing this, we are still waiting for the release. 1.06 is bring a couple of new weapons (Vaiga, Blaze, BK-43, and the Kolt 1911).. and.. the bear! Even though I might get my ass killed in the process, I will be going bear hunting. You bet your ass, err.. my ass I will be!

Many people are griping about having to pay for the new map coming out.. which I get it, kind of. Many players are in the mindset that Lavonia should be released as a free dlc. I personally will be buying it, and I do not have a problem with that.. at all. I have been a fan of DayZ since it's release on PC back in Dec 2013. Sure, DayZ has been through it's fair share of ups and downs over the past few years on the way to v1.0 being released and FINALLY coming out of alpha, err.. beta. But to this day.. there is no game that does what DayZ does to me when I encounter another person ingame. If you've played DayZ, you know what I'm talking about. And the addition of the modding to DayZ.. omg.. OMG! Some of the modders are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing! They have brought a whole different light to DayZ and opened all kinds of doors.

I just love this game.. yeah, I'm a fanboy. DayZ shill.. whatever. lol

So yeah.. I will be buying Lavonia with hesitation when it's available.
