It used to be the case that I could get home and look forward to playing to Apex. The gunplay was the best I had experienced in any of the many battle royales on offer, the setting spoke to me as Titanfall fan and there was a real sense of achievement when I played.

Recently though, the game has become a money-printing endeavour. It seems like every 2 months we have a new skin collection released, often requiring players to spend in excess of £200 to unlock the entire collection. It is sad to see a once good game go the way of FIFA and become another cash grab for EA.
