I'm mostly writing this review to offset people complaining about Alatreon, thinking that ONE hard ENDGAME fight is enough to warrant a negative review.

Regardless, Iceborne is a fantastic addition to an already amazing entry to the franchise, making the fights cleaner and most engaging with new moves on nearly every weapon and providing new interesting monsters and an entire new map to fight in and overall providing an amazing experience.

That being said the game is not without flaws, the first of which being the connectivity problems. Depending on your ISP it may be impossible to play MHWI online, meaning you cant play with others, access event quests or even get rewards from the weekly bounties. This issue seems to have gotten better fortunately, but the way that disconnects are handled is still irritating. When you are disconnected from the online session, the game strips control away form you and forces you to acknowledge that you were disconnected, which would be fine if this game didn't revolve around carefully timed dodges, blocks, or counters, but since it does, that brief second of control loss could casuse you to fail an entire quest.

My other issue isn't game breaking but rather a minor gripe, and that is the power scaling of Iceborne is completely arbitrary. Zinogre , a monster that was historically on the same tier as rathalos, is at a higher tier than the "final" boss shara ishvalda . The same goes for Yian Garuga , which in previous games was actually a tier lower than rathalos, but still somehow finds it's way above the final boss.

That being said, these issues are minor are don't ruin the game experience as a whole, the fights are still fun and engaging and make you feel like an absolute badass, and guess what? Alatreon is OPTIONAL, if you are having trouble fighting it, you don't have to! Why are you complaining about free endgame content, it's supposed to be hard. If you still need a few pointers then here.

1. Bring either a fire or ice weapon depending on the quest (if it's the special assignment bring ice)
Remember BLAST IS NOT AN ELEMENT
2. In the first phase focus on dealing as much damage as possible
3. As soon as he shifts to dragon active focus on breaking the horns to keep him in his original mode.
ONLY BREAK THE HORN ONCE, save the second break for the second rotation
4. Use health boosters and astera jerky to survive escaton
5. Rinse and repeat
6. If the fight goes on for longer than two rotations, then dragon active will be the only time you can deal elemental, so use everything at your disposal, hopefully at that point he will be weakened enough to where your raw damage can kill him
7. If escaton is wiping your entire team, try fighting him solo, that way when he uses it, you only have one cart instead of four.

First of all ... Its a free add-on to an already amazing game, yet it is still great on it's own.

This DLC is an elegant way to give an exposition for BL3 without just using videos and trailers, and just has a great story.
The added ability to create a level 30 character from nothing is great for players who want to know what different characters can feel like without having to play through the entirety of BL2 again.
They really put effort into ensuring the characters are genuine even for a small DLC
Plus the loot is kinda insane, I got three legendaries weapons and an E-tech just playing through the DLC with a new character.

This game is amazing, it takes it's realism to another level, most notibly in its destruction, and there are so many otions to attack, breach the wall, the window, the door, even the ceiling. Use breach charges to destroy or distract, drone to scout or again distract. players can be creative with their tech and play by their style, sneak, or run and gun (which usually doesn't work).

I will never forget this one round: it was 1v1, i was Tachanka, the enemy Glaz, we both knew exactly where the other was, him being one floor above me, trying to attack through a trap door. I waited, my LMG ready to fire, when he peeked out for a second and threw a smoke grenade. That grenade made contact with me, and killed me ( the likely reason for this is that the grenade incapacitated me, but as i was the last on my team, it killed me)

This game is amazing, the combat style is so unique, it really enfoces the idea that Ori is just a weak frail creature in a dangerous world. The story develops beutifuly, with the begining and the end both being so powerful, i'll admit, i cried in the first five minutes. Huge props to Gareth Coker, the music is absolutly fantastic. The game manages to be frustrating and fun at the same time, with Ori dying very easily.

Great story, amazing landscape, lovable complainions, and halarious dialouge, the weapon crafting is a great feature, although it is admitably annoying at times, the only complaint i have is the lack of dialouge options

A great game for someone who prefers to game alone, the worlds are usualy perfectly proportioned for 1 to 3 players to get all the resources they need, i would even go as far to say that terraria is better than its inspiration minecraft for its single-player aspect, but minecraft prevails for its multiplayer aspect.
