This game is more about tracking and planning your path to immortality. Its probably the least 'gamified' game in the genre I've personally played. If you're into min maxing, tracking, 'spreadsheets/guides' - and you like the genre, its probably a good game for you. But if you would like the game to be a bit forgiving and carry some weight for you, this isn't for you.

This is a dystopian level mobile game. Dont trust the trailers -at all-. you simply gotta see gameplay for this crazy thing

The game you 'wanted' is a mode in the game called "infinity siege". After a couple hours in the campaign, you can easily go into that mode with your gear and established base. Its great. Game looks insane, runs like an absolute dream on my 13000k and arc 770. There has been daily, amazing patches. The general looting zones are seemingly old, maybe free unreal assets. Looks like day-z mod or something.

You can largely skip all the looting with 'instant skip', where you get most of the materials and loot you would have gotten, and can skip straight to the extraction/boss/tower defense wave mission.

If you were previously excited for this game - you still should be, and should check it out. At the very least watch some videos or streams to see the FULL gameplay loop.

You likely won't be able to play without going into window's settings>region>administrative>Change system locale> beta (check box). Some kind of regional DRM I guess.

But, If you like Xanxia/wuxia and want a game that really has the awe of "anything can happen and I can become the chosen one", I've never seen a game (at least in english) - that comes anywhere near as close. Buy it, test it - you'll know real quick.

A more complex and involved 'frostpunk' in space. Very cool. visually stunning, and phenomenal art and 'cutscenes'. My turtle play style is proving a very poor method to playing this game.

Skim the reviews and you'll find too many grains of truth about this game. I'm a long standing Ace Combat fan and bought this a long time ago and only ever put about an hour into the game and for some reason moved on to other games. With the new Ace Combat on the 'horizon' I decided for better or worse to crack this back open and play it. Within minutes I remebered why I never continued this game and that is due primarly to the dogfight mode. This is best explained as closely tailing an enemy fighter at aroum 500m and pressing both shoulder buttons on a controler which initiates a sort of on rails quick time event where you shoot an unreasonable amount of missles and bullets into the craft you're persuing. Rediculus. Ace Combat is an action game, but it also has its roots in comcat sim and adhering to its own reality. Historically the series felt very japanse and would be familiar story telling to fans of Gundam, anime, manga, etc - and you would play through several missions and eventually encouter your nemesis or other plot points such as giants bombers that shoot lasers and are the better part of a mile across - hell bent of world destruction. This entry focuses on heavily 'Americanized' aspects such following American pilots in a sort of alternate history.

All in all if you are a fan of the control scheme of Ace Combat, you may enjoy this game if you can get it for around $2. The current $19 and who knows what ever I may have paid for it in the past - is outrageous. I would recommend playing absolutely any other entry in the franchise including the one of 3DS before humoring playing this entry, I would even go so far as to recommend buying a PS2, Xbox 360, or 3DS to play those titles before considering playing this title. Very short, very diluted, over ambitious without sticking a single landing. 3/10 when compared to previous entries.
