Early Access Review
This game seems to have stable performance and looks fairly good visually. However, I do not recommend purchasing it at the current time. It seems a little too barebones even for an early access title at the moment. My biggest gripe is that melee is the only combat style you can level up in the game right now. Ranged and magic simply say coming soon. Max level for skills is currently 49 out of the planned 99 and I got one of them to nearly 40 in under and hour of play time. While I find the game promising and look forward to future updates, I'd wait before pulling the trigger.

It's hard to remake a puzzle game since knowledge is everything. I'm glad they mixed it up with new and modified content. Great reimagining if the game and amazing in VR.

Really fun game with no real complaints. Good variety of weapons on solid map designs. Mission based with plenty to discover and reason to replay missions with different loadouts. A visual style that will easily grow on you if you didn't find it oddly charming already. Set Goals. Have a ten year plan. Wake up early. Invest. CEO mindset.

Messed around with the demo on a whim and ended up buying the game mere minutes later. This game has quickly become one of my favorites of all time. The combat may not be perfect but the way it evolves is very entertaining. The platforming, exploration, and puzzles though and absolutely top notch.

The sense of exploration is almost overwhelming, it's semi-open world with very dense content. There are many secrets to find and something new to discover at every turn. Every single puzzle feels unique. Every tool you obtain constantly gets new uses. Most of the puzzles are satisfying to figure out. Every single next step is a challenge to test you on everything you've learned previously. Nothing feels repeated and it never gets old. I was glued to it until I beat it. My only real downside to this game is the complete lack of replay-ability that puzzle games tend to suffer from.

Combat: 6.5/10
Exploration: 10/10
Puzzles 10/10

Serious Sam is more than just a game now, it's a platform, it's life itself.

At first glance, the game seems like a complete joke and in some ways it is. Hidden under the comedic side of the game is some actual solid gameplay mechanics. Instead of having to master massive combos and 1 frame links this game gets you right into the action with a very easy to learn and simple control scheme. Even with its low skill requirement for entry level play the game still maintains a very high skill ceiling.

The game essentially takes out a lot of the memorization and muscle memory required to play a fighter and all that remains is the core to what makes every fighting game so great, the skill and tactics required to defeat your opponent.

If you're interested in a fighting game that's all about positioning, reflexes, and mind games then Divekick is for you.
