Potential is there as the city building is quite a fun time sink trying to organize and let my OCD run wild, but the games optimization is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. On boot up I was getting 2fps and after several minutes of trying to navigate the settings, I had to turn down every setting to low or outright disable others just to get above 40-50fps; and that's just the main menu. Getting into the game I was met with constant frame drops and stuttering with a population of <1000, which is absolutely baffling. As I grew my city to a decent (not even large) population I had to gradually crank down settings as I progressed with the game, and my final straw being the fact that my game crashed and I lost hours of progress because apparently there's no auto save. Or if there is then it did not do it's job.

Cannot recommend this game to anyone with it's current price tag of $50 until it's optimized, Cyberpunk runs better than this ♥♥♥♥.

An absolute husk of what the Halo franchise used to be, Been playing the series since for almost 11 years now and 343 has absolutely butchered the franchise. The game was beloved for the social aspects such as pre/post game lobbies where people could chat & banter, forge mode where communities could enjoy player made maps together (which is what I spent most of my time doing) etc etc.

Yet now the game just feels like a sweaty competitive shooter when it was nothing like that before, sure there was a competitive scene like from MLG but it was the community breathed life into it; and now 343 is practically shoving it down our throats as if that's all the game was. And usually I'm a very competitive type of player, when I did my placements for the first time on Infinite I immediately got placed just 1 rank shy of Onyx and immediately stopped playing afterwards. In the past people played the ranked game modes sure but most people gravitated towards Forge, Infection, Grifball, and other fun modes but Infinite didn't even launch with any of those and took almost 2 years to incorporate them. Infinite has had the longest time in development between any other major Halo game (6 years between Halo 5 -> Infinite) yet still launched as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ live service game while missing core components of the original Halo games as well as taking 6 months between the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ battlepasses.

Don't even get me started on the customization, an interview with a 343 employee said and I quote "The body of customization content that we have on day 1 ensures there will be millions of customization combinations" yet 95% of said customization you have to get through a battle pass or buy buying them in the item store (which gets more updates than the actual game). Want this very basic red/black colors for your armor? that'll be 4.99 please. All they had to do was redo what older Halo's like Reach did where you earn credits by playing, then spend said credits on armor you wanted which in my opinion was the best method in the Halo franchise.

In the end I have no more faith in 343, Infinite peaked with 256,619 concurrent players and now averages a measly 5k a month which is absolutely baffling ESPECIALLY considering the game was free. They catered the game to non Halo players yet couldn't even retain said players. The franchise is dying and unless they pull a golden egg out of their ass and release a miracle of a game then I can't see myself ever returning back to the series. It's been a good ride. o7

Honestly a really solid game, been playing it non-stop ever since buying it. The game already goes in depth fairly well with a lot but joining a multiplayer server with good mods made the experience unbelievably fun. I don't think I've ever cranked hours into a game this fast.

Very enjoyable game in my opinion. Sure it may be unfortunate that its been in alpha since 2013 but I've been playing since roughly 2016, originally on console (Yikes, I know) and I personally find the aspect of it being in alpha not so bad as people make it out to be, because even when I burn myself out by playing for weeks on end I can still look forward to more updates/alphas which always end up bringing me back to the game. It really sucks hearing people go "Man these Devs are lazy" or anything along those lines because this game has always been improving since I started playing years ago; Almost feels like a different game. I love seeing the work the Devs put into the game, sure Alpha 20 experimental was supposed to be out in October but I believe the delay's were well worth it. One of my favorite games of all time and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
