No i'm not crying, you are 😭

Really love the soft reboot of the series. Overall gameplay are fun, something you could expect from a Samurai Warriors game (2 characters switching on a stage, Hyper attack, etc).

There are 39 new characters (2 of them are mature version of Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi). And there's like 16 weapons in total, which you guessed it, some character have shared weapon with each other (read: cloned movesets). Similiar to Dynasty Warriors 7, some character will have a preferred weapon and it will have a unique charge attack for said character (think of like EX attack from DW7/8).

New to this entry is this Ultimate skill which you can use by holding R1 button. And you can mix and match the skill too but they are tied to your current equipped weapon so keep that in mind (exceptions are the unique ultimate skill that each characters has. You can equip it regardless of weapon type you use).

Sadly there's only 2 modes in this game. Musou Mode (+Free Mode) and Citadel Mode. To be frank, Citadel Mode gets boring real fast since what you do there is just defending a base while doing some random objective like, defeat certain enemy or beat 100 troops with musou / ultimate skill. Musou mode on the otherhand, focused on the rise of Nobunaga Oda until Battle of Yamazaki time period, so no Siege of Osaka Castle or Battle of Sekigahara here. Kinda wish they make the next game with this style but focused on Hideyoshi and Ieyasu, continuing the story until Siege of Osaka.

And unpopular opinion, i think i like this more than SW4-II. Get this instead of that game. And for the love of god Koei please bring base SW4 into Steam. Thank you

I'm sorry but i really dislike this DLC. Level design is fine, albeit much easier than Part One but the final boss is just tedious as heck.

It kicked my ass on the last stage of this DLC. The difficulty here are no joke.

Worthy sequel to Doom 2016.

Gameplay is more fast paced and more difficult than Doom 2016. You have to think smart and swiftly during combat. You can't just mindless shooting at the enemy or die trying.

Also surprised this game runs smoothly on my old system. IdTech engine are really awesome man.

This game is really something else. Definitely not for everyone. Most of the game are really linear story with heavy dialogue.
It has 8 chapters long + 1 prologue with most of the chapter varying in length. There are times where it feels the dialogue drags too much and wish I can spam thru the dialogue.

Other than that, it has really nice presentation to it. Great pixel art graphic and good music too. The story itself is good, not masterpiece by any means but, serviceable.

I'm not the biggest car person but after playing Forza Horizon 4 and going to this, wow. On the surface it might look just like FH4 but in Mexico and graphical upgrade, but they actually fixed my biggest gripe in FH4, they make the car sounds BETTER . I also felt the car handling feels better here compared to 4 as I just noticed it from my times doing drifting in this game felt easier.

Online experience is kinda a mixed bag tho, while I like when playing Horizon Open that I don't have the long loading screen bug between race anymore (hated this back in FH4), I am having a hard time connecting to leader convoy session when playing with Friends. If i remember correctly, they used to have an option to join leader session in FH4, it baffles me why this option doesn't exist for this game. It's almost a year since release too.

One thing that I miss from FH4 are probably some cars like Lancia, Alfa, etc. And the seasons. Yes seasons are in FH5 but it doesn't change the whole landscape so much like FH4 does, makes me wonder how are you suppose to utilize snow tires when there's zero snow in Winter / Dry Season here.

Aside from my gripes above. I enjoyed this game as it is.

BUYERS BEWARE. It come to my attention that this port has a serious visual bug when played with monitor that has a display rate over 60hz. You have to switch to 60hz or you will encounter visual bug. I didn't noticed this at the time I wrote this review because I was playing on an older Laptop, now that I play on a laptop that has display locked on 144hz refresh rate, I'm screwed.

FINALLY. I have been wishing for WO3 PC port for YEARS after KOEI started to port more of their Warriors title to PC

They didn't lie by putting "Definitive Edition" in the title because currently this IS the Definitive way to play Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. Originally released back in 2011 on PS3, I used to play this a lot back in then. Lots of characters to play as (based on DW7, SW3 characters respectively), the story that actually good compared to WO4 in my opinion.

There's a lot of content here, not to mention the included DLC stages too so that can keep you busy for a while. Keep in mind this is from the PS3 era of Warriors game so some things *might* feels dated as the results compared to recent Warriors title.

The PC port is pretty decent. They have mouse control support too and its pretty good. The graphic is pretty much what you expect from PS3 era games. There's no online co-op tho so this might be a deal breaker for some people (I don't really care since i mostly play these kind of game by myself)

Overall, its a good PC port. Also for people who never played WO3, if you don't mind playing a Warriors title from PS3 era or you kinda disappointed with WO4 (which, I did kinda disappointed with WO4), give WO3U a try, you might like it.

I find this game oddly relaxing and it has a nice gameplay loop of, gather supplies, bring it to base, improve your base, and do another supply gather run. The combat feels good too, the melee weapon has some 'weight' to it.
