monster hunter world 2: electric boogaloo

i HAVE to give this a negative review simply because it's unoptimised to hell and has loads of pop-in textures; also, a game simply can't rely on framegen just to get barely decent fps (ref: kingdom come deliverance 2 that can run amazingly with maxed settings on my rtx4070)

aside from the above and general bugginess (seikret pathmapping not working half the time???) and confusing ui elements (random useless monster notifications you can't toggle to disable that prevents you from opening the map until you dismiss them), cool game. loving the new weapon movesets and the palicoes are way too cute


edit: also frankly too expensive for what you're getting imo, 10 dollars too much

For a free game, actually really good!

Great, deceptively simple (at first glance) strategy game with tons of character and humor. Reminiscent of Into The Breach with its interactions with the environment. Very competitively priced, easy to pick up and low PC spec requirements - what's not to like? There's even a demo available!

(edit: Realised this game was made by the developer(s) of Gunpoint which I loved! No wonder I enjoy this game so much)

'Dead Cells meets Hades' is an apt description. Flashy movesets with voice acted story sequences and kinda challenging enemies. 10 characters with different abilities (Mai ftw), there's apparently also multiplayer but I haven't tried it yet.

Good rogue-lite with a reasonable price!

goated game, if you like the grind of monster hunter and optimising your builds with different playstyles (and also anime), this is the game for you

This game is awesome and full of content for a free game, definitely up your alley if you're into roguelites and vtubers/anime pixel art aesthetic. Highly recommend!

Slay the Princess is fully voice-acted and the art is gorgeous - I like choose-your-own-adventure type games like these. I don't really get the concept but I've only gotten one ending, hope to dive deeper into this game and find out more.
