The mission gameplay is fantastic.

Everything else in the game is mind boggling on how it could have possibly gotten past any form of semi-intelligent thought as a good idea.

One of the top 5 best games I've purchased in the last decade.

I can forgive the simplified game play over previous X-wing/TIE Fighter games because it was fun enough for the price.

The campaign was absolute trash tier. Awful story telling and characters that could be represented by faces drawn on a wooden boards. When you compare it to the complex and outstanding campaigns of the previous games, it's mind boggling how this could have even occurred.

I guess if you only plan to really play multiplayer, it's probably worth the buy, but other than that, just a disappointing glimpse at what could have been.
