This game requires an obscene amount of DLC to keep it from having the AI break itself basically -- 1.8.X: Axis would literally beat the Allies every time, even if you play as the Allies. They fixed this, but seriously?

It is ridiculously frustrating at first with a steep learning curve, but gets extremely addicting after you figure out how to play it right.

Protip: If you are buying this game, make sure you have your wallet prepared for all the DLC you will need to make it a decent game to play. The base game is barebones unless if you only like playing as the major nations.

You can't even annex your puppets properly without DLC. Sigh. Literally, the DLC is a bunch of mechanics that should have been in the base game. Paradox does this with basically everything.

If they release a game, just wait a couple years basically and THEN you will be able to buy it at a reasonable price and get good functionality out of it. $20 for DLC?! Seriously? Most of the content isn't worth the contents of my toilet bowl after gas station sushi. To quote an anonymous person, "any game dev born after 1993 only knows three things, microtransactions, post-processing and DLC." I may seem like an old man yelling at the clouds, but yes, we really did have it all. Now, we are living in the shadow of the golden era, akin to 1984 or East Germany after WWII/the Weimar days.
