This game is admittedly a massive investment. There is a great deal of fun to be had with it. At the moment though I think anyone wanting to buy the game should wait until the complete edition comes out, whenever than may be.

A modern classic 10/10.

A return to form for the series adding variety to the franchise without being overly contrived, a must purchase for anyone who enjoyed the thirst game. However you might be out of luck if you're more of a Dark souls 2 fan.

Progression can be slow and the game can be a real time sink but its well worth the price of aquisition.

The controls are garbage, movement is sluggish and multiplayer scarcely functions. What more could you want?


Upon revisiting the game I have come to the conclusion that its at least playable but if your a dark souls fan looking for more content you'd be better off playing randomisers or the Daughters of Ash mod for DS1.

The game has still retained much of its original jankiness but the revived multiplayer community along with the graphical updates make the game more than worth purchasing.
