This game is incredibly fun and i would highly recommend. There is a slight lack of players in Australia however when u find a game with a decent amount of players it is a blast. 10/10 IGN

11/10 cost less than EA's SW BF and has more content.

My initial reviews were left after some controversy relating to the introduction of skins. I am leaving that portion of the review up but i want it to be known this is a great game to play with both friends and randoms, its getting a big ol recommendation from me.

Oh how i really wish i could give this game a good review for its fun gameplay, good skill customisation and good community, recent business moves from Overkill have forced my hand and thus with the introduction of microtransations and the poor way overkill handled it cuppled with the "Reward" for playeres who purchased the $20 complelely overkill pack being a safe AFTER the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the blackmarket update (the updated that introduced the dreaded microtransactons), i must leave a negetive review until overkill does something to fix this red hot mess they have created.


Update - Well its been a couple of months since i last played and when i saw the wolf pack DLC was free to those who owned it in PD:TH, i thought i might as well see what overkill has done to fix the mess they made. I can report that they have done a lot of good since the black market update, some free dlcs and some paid, and the new heists they added in Point Break and the revived ones in Wolf Pack were fun and a good addition. I feel though i should call into question OK's mental state with the Goat Simulator DLC, like seriously WTF.

However if u are wondering if PD2 is good again, id say its better but still has a long way to go before its back to what it was originally, heck it prob wont get back to its original state but i guess we wil have to deal with it.

Im still leaving my negetive review because i still feel really hurt by overkill and the black market update. The update itself i feel wasn't to awful looking back however the timing was akin to someone grabbing u by the balls, twisting then pulling and ripping them off.

So this is going to be my honest review of Fallout 4, i will likely update this review and make changes as time goes on but i couldn't leave my old review up. My old review was made within the first few hours of my playing the game and as such, was more of a first impressions. Anyway on to the review.

Fallout 4 is a great game despite its flaws and is well worth your money. The game does have many flaws but it also has many positives:

Positives:

-Good Music
-Good Graphics (even better with mods)
-Great Voice Acting (NPC's and for MP [say what u will about the voiced protagonists but the VA is still great for them])
-Good Dialogue system (ill explain later)
-Vastly improved gunplay
-Extensive customisation
-Fun settlement building (for a while)
-Intreseting world filled with interesting locations and characters
-Layered Arrnour
-Survival Mode
-Quick Looting
-Console Mods

Ok so before u rip me a new @$$hole for me praising the dialogue system let me explain what i actually mean. What i mean is i like everything about it EXCEPT the limit of 4 options, the ability to basically disenage from the conversation and ♥♥♥♥ off and use a terminal then go back to talking is great, that part is great. But the limit to 4 dialogue options in an attempt to make the game more,Mass Effect like was a dumb move which makes me want to punch the person responsible for making that design choice. That begin said let me explain some of my other praises.
I actually dont mind the voiced protagonist in fact i kind of like it, maybe its because i played the ME series somewhat recently but i kind of enjoy it, but its also partial responsible for the dialogue systems restircted options.
The customisation of weapons and armour is great, it adds a whole new way to modify ur weapons and armour and was a perfect move for a fallout game.
The settlement system is pretty good, (but that said Prestion can go ♥♥♥♥♥♥ kill himself) but it does have its flaws which i will get into. However the basic concept behind it is great and fills that hole that the previous games had.
Survival mode is pretty damn good.... and ♥♥♥♥ at the same time. Its introduction of things like diseases and effects caused by chems (such as dehydration) is a great addition to the ground work laid by Obsidion in FONV.
My God the quicklooting system is a god send, being able to just look at a container and instantly see all of whats inside sorted in a way that puts the more valuable items at the top is just bloody great.
Having Mods on the console is great, it allows people to enjoy modding in a similar way to PC. Sure they can't have all of the same mods but they sure can extend the life of their game.

Im gonna keep this bit on the dialogue system short as plenty of people have complained and bethseda has said it didnt wor as well as they hoped etc. It sucks. They wanted a similar system to Mass Effect's dialogue however for a game like fallout that simpily doesn't work. I personally think that skyrim's dialogue system was the best and dearly hoped that the next FO game had a system like that. Sadly that isnt the case and the closest we can get is the full dialogue interface. Moving on.
The Story... I'll say this first, i did kind of enjoy the story, parts of it where great such as pre-war and the conferentation with Kellog, finding the institue sh1t like that was good IMO. However, the whole 'Oh im so important, ive lost my son', 'ive gotta find shawn' all that cr@p, was fu(ken awful, like dear god i honestly could not care less about Shawn, and i think this problem sort of ties in with the whole voiced protagonist which i still say was an ok move by beth (not the best but not awful). Having the player forced down a path of finding his/her son

Great game, very addictive and simple, Everything about this game is amazinh and worth every cent i paid for it :D

8/10 doesn't have drills which is g8

the ending, wow. i now have a new respect for flies

Well that was a strange but at the same time rather eye opening experience.

Seeing the world though a what i can only assume was a depressed office worker, and old man and a young enegetic child was actually pretty cool.

Still waiting on a second SWRC, i need moar of this amazing game, the games machanics and gameplay still hold up today.
