Do you want a fresh take on the Xcom game play loop? Then this is the game for you. Enough nice simple changes to make it it's own thing. The game has a lot of heart in it at a lot of little love for the setting. Unfortunately there are many places the game can improve though, level ups and skills don't feel too great. Some skills are borderline useless while others are no brainers, there are only 5 classes and 3 of them don't feel very different. The game is still buggy this long after the game came out, which is not a great sign and a bit disappointing. Some of the ones I had was,
Character got stuck in a wall (Reload or loose character)
2 characters could no longer run (Suffered until mission was over)
Tried to spam clicking to get a tutorial out of the way during my second playthrough and lost complete control of the game (Hard reset)
Enemies shooting though One specific wall (Reset since I lost to much health)
A door glitched open and broke the quest chain (almost cost me my run, lucky I still had an old safe since I didn't know I'd bricked my safe until like 2 hours later)

I will recommend the game on the criteria that you want to play a xcom like game and like the Alien setting. Then prepare for a surprisingly long and fun play through with fresh takes and interesting game mechanics that will probably frustrate you with some bug or another.

Also try to get it on a sale, while it is a lot of game time for your dollar, the amount of bugs really cap this game at like 15-20 dollar price
