TL;DR: A short action romp with fantastic enemy encounters and great exploration

Pros:

- Game play: Clunky but in a good way. Each enemy must be approached in a unique way and the bosses also encourage the player to use a variety of tactics and weapons to bring them down
- Graphics: Tons of little touches. I particularly like the sprite on the upper left hand corner which changes depending on the armour the player chooses to wear.
- Story: fun. A lot of stuff is left vague but there is enough lore here to make me want to see and learn more about the world.
- Maps: Every single region the game presents in its short run time feels unique.

Neutral:

- Characters: Designs are great unfortunately not many manage to stand out as particularly well written
- Length: Very short but for this price I would say you get decent value for money. The fishing mini game could also add to your playtime if one enjoys that type of thing

Conclusion:
A great little game. Perhaps a tad short but still worth playing
Review Showcase
TL;DR: A fun Resident Evil game.
Pros:
- Gameplay: Shooting feels great and ammo is scarce enough that you never feel too comfortable while exploring. The Scanner is also a fun edition that makes combat a bit more interesting (does one risk scanning a living enemy too try and get some desperately needed health or risk trying to take the enemy on with whatever health one has at that time). Puzzles are much easier then previous entries and seem to play a less prominent role this time round.
- Graphics: Surprisingly nice for a game originally released on the 3DS. The Aesthetic of the cruise ship we spend much the game on is great and suitably eerie.
- Story: Cheesy but in a [mostly] good way. Very Resident Evil. If you've played a previous Resident Evil game you know what your getting and it doesn't deviate that much from that well trod path. The Dante theme is also hilariously hamfisted.

Neutral:
- Characters: Legacy characters here are as fun as ever. But new characters are fairly flat and occasionally strange. Quint and Keith in particular highlight the latter issue. Both feel like they come from a different game and there humour is atrocious [and not in a fun way].
- Length: Took about 6 hours for me to beat the main campaign on Normal.

Cons:
- Bosses/Enemy variety: Was not a fan of the 3 or 4 "big" bosses this game gives us. Some felt appropriately foreshadowed but mechanically there kinda boring, Enemy variety also wasn't 100% up to snuff.

Conclusion:
A fun Resident Evil game for the season but not one that redefines the series in any major way.
