Also, I would suggest running for a local position (say, Alabama's STATE legislature or County Commission) in order to build name recognition. I'd vote for you because you are my friend, but most people won't. No one is going to vote for you for Governor or the federal Congress right now, and it's a waste of time and money to try. You need to establish yourself, maybe elect yourself into the Republican Party by bussing in friends to a precinct meeting, and work your way up.
As a Cherokee Nation Indian yourself, with confirmed pedigree, I think you could find yourself in a place to reach out to Indians and have that common bond, even if your views are odd compared to theirs.
