Was an alright game to grind out on with a high skill sealing for gun play but the catering for streamers and casual players have isolated their more dedicated fan base who enjoyed the difficultly of the weapons as they were. the way i see it is that if you don't like the game don't play it don't ruin it for those of us that enjoyed it for what it was by making the most difficult part of the game light work for basically everyone.


rust is unique for its difficulty and player vs player which is what at least drew me into it but it seems that time has passed as its quite obvious at this point they don't have much care for people who have supported the game since its official release and in beta, those people who have played it everyday because they loved what it was as they have now also nerfed the silencer and the 8x scope with the silencer having its accuracy bonus removed meaning more spread on the weapons and 50% increased recoil for the 8x scope making it basically unusable on full auto weapons


this for me was the straw that broke the camels back as they have created a new late game meta which is essentially bolty 8x as no other gun can compete at range compared to the bolty which will scale with those who roof camp making roof camping pretty difficult if not almost impossible to deal with as again the bolty is now uncontested at range meaning if you don't have a bolty on your person you better pray to god for one.


out of pure curiosity i have been checking the amount of players on the game this past month and so far it doesn't seem like many players where gained with the new recoil as since otv rolled around the first time (January 2021) the numbers have always stayed in 100k+ every month for peak players with an average of 70k to 80k each of those months which is enough to put it in the 10 top most played games on steam every month between otv`s arrival and now. i am not writing this to whine about how many hours i`ve put it learning the recoil or anything like that i`m just writing how i feel personally about the changes after playing this game since i came to pc and having 5.6k hours in rust.
