So...

I have finally finished the game, got a lot to say.

I was first introduced to the series back when I was a kid, so many years ago. I am a huge fan pretty much, but what do I have to say about this game...

In the nutshell, I love it. It feels like a serious sam game, the blood, the massacre, the weapons. It all where it should be, however, there are both cons and pros. Things that I loved and disliked bout this game.

Let's start with the pros.

- The feel of the weapons is absolutely divine. Every single weapon has that punchy feeling, from pistol to a cannon. You can feel the power behind every shot, even though some don't do as much damage, you can still feel the impact of the weapon on your enemies. Also, the fact that you can upgrade your weapons, that is one of the best ideas they came up with.

- The enemies are amazing. Every one of them has their own strengths and weaknesses. Every single monster has a way you can play around them, use the right weapon for the right monster to make it an easier to kill. Some annoy the ♥♥♥♥ out of you, some you love to kill. I also love the fact they brought enemies back from old games, good nostalgia hit.

- The amount of enemies and the way you kill them is also something I liked a lot, how they would break apart. It's satisfying. A nice feel to it.

- Don't get me started on music. Damjan Mravunac did a phenomenal job. Every song is amazing, has its own feel, its own atmosphere that helps the game. From peaceful sounds when you can relax to battle music when its time to massacre. I also noticed how much more professional the music feels, it's crazy. Truly crazy. Big props to Damjan Mravunac and Undercode as well for. Can't forget him.

- I love the side quests. It is easier to understand where to go and what to do. The whole interface is easier to get used to -and follow.

- The game as a whole has a very vibrant feel, not as gloomy and grey as Serious Sam 3 I would say. Which is a step in the right direction in my opinion.

- Loved the open world, the cars, the bikes, and don't get me started on mechs. To be able to explore the vast world. I loved it

- The ability point system was a very good idea, rocking the double miniguns was my one of my favourite, or a 2 double-barrel shotgun fun.

- All levels except the last one I found fun asf, each is different and unique. With their own side missions to accompany.

There other many things that I liked, but it would take too long to type. Now to the cons.

- The main issue is the performance, it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my initial experience with the game. Laggy and messy, I have a good pc, its not a pentagon supercomputer like some people have, but its more than enough to handle games. I shouldn't be lagging so much, I shouldn't be dropping to 30fps. And I understand there is a lot going on the screen, but it should have been optimized better. Thank god for the quick patches that really helped out.

- Although I loved what they did with weapon upgrades, I can't help but hate the fact that if you want to start in the middle of the game, you don't have those upgrades. I, for example, couldn't finish the game in one sitting, I did all the side quests in the couple levels that I played at first, but when I came back on all of the work I did for them disappeared. I would see how some hardcore players would want that, to go from beginning to the end. But there should be an option for more casual players who just want to kill ♥♥♥♥ to have all the upgrades that they missed up until the start point of a certain level.

- The animations...Could use a lot of work, and I am talking about cut-scene animations. Now I am being picky with this because in the end, it doesn't really affect the game. But I did get a chuckle of how weird some of them looked. I wish they would improve the melee animation dough, imagine a doom melee animation in Serious Sam 4.

- I really hoped there would be more bosses, more challenging bosses that are hard to kill. I finished the game on normal so I don't know how hard it is to kill them on a more difficult level, but I think bosses should take a long time to kill. If not that, then more of them would have been better imo. And ♥♥♥♥ that last boss, ♥♥♥♥ was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.

That's pretty much all I have to say about the game. I pre-ordered it as soon as it dropped, and is it worth £31? Umm, I don't think so. If I wasn't such a huge fan of the series I would not have gotten it for £31. If I was to put myself in the shoes of a person unfamiliar with the franchise, I would pay £20, maybe £25 but not £31.

But that's the review I have of the game. I will add what I wish was in the game below but it's just my hopes and dreams so you can skip it. I hope this review helped you somehow on deciding if you should get the game or not :)

I really wished the game would be set back in the past. Everything the same, but just imagine you are running through old Egypt, through old medieval castles. Yes, it was done before, and maybe I am saying all of this because I grew up playing Serious Sam first and second encounter. But I would love to be in that place again. The levels of Second Encounter were the best. From rolling room to spinning platforms. And the feeling of First Encounter and the scale. But hey, maybe Serious Sam 5 in like 10 years? Who knows...

The game is pretty much copy and paste of call of duty: world of at war. Nothing new and nothing intresting. Going into the game i though there will be some difference but nope. Nothing just the same old ww2 game with better graphics.

Small maps

♥♥♥♥ Guns (What is the point of a sniper?)

No point in Divisions.
