This game is goated, one of the greatest games to come out in recent memory. Arrowhead, in terms of development and support, have done everything right. Its the only live service game, that feels like its actually happening around you and not a "wait 3 months for a crumb of content and one yearly ""BIG"" update." There are consequences and repercussions that the devs have curated for the community to do themselves, it is what a live service game should be.

Sony decided not to go through with its required PSN update, while there are still some issues with people being potentially unable to play the game in certain countries, I hope that too is changed.

Helldivers is still the goat.

So, 7 hours deep. Typically I wouldn't write a review so early, however this game has got to be one of the most interesting and honestly one of the most fun. The driving mechanics, feel fluid. Like the Walkers are a extra limb, it just feels right to drive one.

The combat, is familiar but different. Like a cross between mount and blade and Mordhau. It feels a little clunky, but overall good. But where its at, is the vehicle mechanics.

Sniping someone off the Captain's seat, is the best feeling in the world. I've done it twice, both times moving, both times it felt amazing. The glory of the kill, your mates yelling about it. Its great.

A small group of 5-7 people is a perfect blend of grind and fun. Letting you get the coolish quickly and rewarding good synergy. Having a 4 gun crusier, with a captain. And then a light assault vehicle with a harpoon with 2 guys is a great way to kill ships.

Overall, with the game being open, we only had one issue with the servers. One map was pretty laggy, but only for the walker. Otherwise, everything else way smooth, I had a few drops in FPS at times, but only for about a second or two.

Finally, this game is just fun. The grapple, the banter, the combat. It all comes together to make a smooth blend.

Fun strategy until you get 40 width modern tanks, then it's easy as hell

I'm still getting used to the mechanisms and functions of each block and learning how the AI works. By AI I don't mean the enemy, I mean my AI. CRAM cannons and APS cannons are hard to learn but hot damn, it is fun to build and test and improve then redesign until you have a perfect and unkillable machine the likes the ocean has never seen before! I recommend this game, especially if you can get it on sale, no DLC and many preset ships if you just want to jump into the game. A few problems I have with the game though, it can be absolutely infuryating when you mess up with ship building, combat can be slow and dull sometimes or downright stupid, and unless you know what your doing, screwing up something small can be hard to fix. one more thing, the tutorials in-game are very, very bare bones especially when trying to understand and apply the concepts, tutorials on seperate sites are much better to learning and applying the concepts. Still would recommend and look forward to playing more 8/10

I banged the small one, game felt good had some jokes and had a heartwarming ending (for me at least). Needs 1 one thing, a sequel.

I love the concept of Foxhole, an open world game where you work with other players in real time to accomplish objectives to win a war. During my time, I became a member of 82DK, became a Warden loyalist and rose in the ranks ingame. But, the game is damaged. By a community manager who rules with an Iron fist and honestly might loath the community he "manages". Developers, who I totally respect for their honesty and transparency during their bi-weekly streams and frequent updates. On the other side of the coin, they seem more interested in adding new items, vehicles and structures. Which wouldn't be such an issues IF they addressed the issues in the game, Logistics is a nightmare, parts of the game are buggy and have been for tens of updates, short sighted solutions and a lack of understanding of their own game. They claim to play their own game, more or as much as we do. Yet they are never seen.

This game has a revolutionary concept, squandered by incompitence and a sense of superiority from the developers, and I unfortunatly cannot recommend this game at this time. Despite the love I have for it.

3 Years later, game is still ♥♥♥♥ lmao

This game is really really fun, for the first few hours. I only played with friends and played few online games we used every ability and technology and it was a hell of a good time. But it lacks content, the game got stale after a while. Around my tenth hour I was bored. Overall a fun game but it lacks content but i'm sure that will solve itself as the game progresses.
