A Michael Crichton novel is less wordy and convoluted than some of these cards.

While I don't have as many hours for the game on Steam as I should, I cannot overstate how important Age of Empires 2 is to me. The amount of time I put into this game as a child was insane. I burnt out two copies of the game from playing it so much and I don't regret a thing. Easily top 20 games of all time for me, maybe even top 10. Definitely my most played game of all time and led me to the broader world of RTS games. 10/10 Will always play again.

Black Mesa is how you remake a video game. The gameplay, visuals, and score (my god, the score), are all top notch. The level reworks, especially with Xen, elevate what was already a masterpiece of an FPS game, to new heights. As always with a remake, I recommend playing the original Half Life before jumping into this. You need to experience the original in most cases to appreciate everything a remake brings to the table. For me, Black Mesa was the way Half Life was meant to be experienced.

Still one of the best examples of an unfinished masterpiece. I unfortunately didn't think about installing the unofficial fan patch, so the game looked like ass for this playthrough. Not a point against the game, it's not at fault for being unable to run well on modern hardware. World building, music, characters, and atmosphere are all top notch. 8/10. Combat sucks.

Sequel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ never.
