Monster Hunter is a franchise infamous for being inaccessible or more generously, difficult for new players to get accustomed to the series. Seldom does the game inform you of mechanics in a half decent way, the multiplayer system is forever esoteric and dated, and the game is a gauntlet of brutal boss fights and difficult challenges.

Happy to say that Wilds is by and far the most accessible game in the series. It lacks a lot of the classic jank of MH, weapons will tell you the inputs and possible combos you can commit to in any given moment, and the addition of focus mode makes playing slower melee weapons far more forgiving. If you're interested in the series, this is a fantastic place to start.

Multiplayer system is still esoteric and bad though. That hasn't changed.

Decent witch hat. This game has witches, it's a good witch game.

Peak witch core. This is some Salem trials ♥♥♥♥ right here. We ain't getting out of the pyre with this one girls. We're not summoning demons, we're banishing them with LEAD. The best kind of spell can't get countered. Wizards and Druids won't get it, MFs never scryed the future using frog entrails.

This game is for WITCHES. Everyone else? Don't even THINK about touching our spellbooks.

This game is something else. If you've read other reviews there's obviously more than meets the eye here but trust me when I say give it a shot. There's so much more going on, the rabbit hole goes deep and I feel like I've only scratched the surface so far.

Game is good.

It baffles me how we can still be upset that Fromsoft games are hard over ten years later. You knew exactly what you were getting into.

This DLC is absolutely incredible. Miyazaki and his team have absolutely out done themselves this time. I cannot recommend this enough, it's amazing.

I like it when multi-billion dollar corporations suffer consequences for their actions.

This game needed eight more months of polish. And a removal of the tutorial.

The perfect homage to first person dungeon crawlers. To the point that calling it an homage doesn't feel apt. This game is so full of secrets that your sense of discovery will be making your brain drop dopamine hit after dopamine hit.
