Convenience at its finest. Easy to setup and live skin customization is a blessing.. Coming from LR2/beatoraja having so much quality of life is just heaven.

Probably the clunkiest game I've ever played, this game did not age well despite its "remaster". Not being able to attack behind you while moving, as well as being limited to attack to the left & right completely kills the rhythm for me.

It's really good. We could say it's Terraria but different. Essentially both games offer building and rpg elements, although Starbound clearly does lay its focus on exploring and adventuring to a much greater extent than Terraria.

The vanilla game alone already offers a lot of content, immersing into the environment and exploring the countless of different planets with their own ecosystems is very addicting and a lot of fun.

Although unlike how it is in Terraria, doing another playthrough in vanilla Starbound might feel a bit dull/boring. I highly suggest to play with mods after that, especially the Frackin Universe mod, which is an enourmous content package and completely overhauls the game and adds a massive amount of new content.

The amount of fun you can get out of this game depends on what type of player you are. If you like taking a slower approach, while taking your time with exploring, and learning more about the complexity of the different mechanics, then you'll definitely get the most ouf of this game. Especially modded, the game will soak you in and make your forget time really quick.

Perhaps the best 2,39€ you can invest for a game.
