If you enjoy those games, you will enjoy this aswell.

If you liked the first game, you'll love this one.

Probably the best building system I've ever had the pleasure to experience.

It's great and at the same time incredibly punishing.

I've changed my review from positive to negative.
A couple of hours in, you notice how lifeless and boring the world is, which is also reflected in the so-called "A-Life".
The AI is braindead, spots you 200 meters away and beams you while running, and on top of that, enemies killed in their bases respawn a couple of minutes after which makes everything feel pointless.

It's fun - and pretty polished in every aspect except the proofreading.

It's pretty clear that English isn't the developers first language, but seeing typos all the time kind of brings you out of the game a bit.
This would have been fine if it was only in HUD elements and such, but I've noticed several signs and texts in the game world with broken English or just straight up using the wrong words, such as "personal" instead of "personnel".

Regardless, still a fun experience and I can't recommend this enough if you're into the likes of XCOM.

+ Interesting world and visual storytelling.
+ Fun combat with decent enemy variety.
+ Great graphics
+ Pretty good voiceacting (most of the time)

- You're encouraged to explore, but you have no map for some reason
- Massive amounts of unnecessary invisible walls and strange boundaries
- Some microstuttering in certain locations
- Unfortnately no lipsync for the English language

Played the hell out of it on PS.
Was excited to replay it again but this time on PC.

I really tried to like this game.
The story is as boring and uninteresting as its characters and the combat feels like a chore.

It's not a lake, it's an ocean.
