This game is great, and they keep it updated too!

The soundtrack is really quite good in this game, as it is in almost every other installment of the final fantasy sieries. I usually am not a fan of the active time combat system, but this time I was completely into it. The port is also really strong, even a potatoe system could easily run this without stuttering. If you want to play a good final fantsy title, I strongly recommend this.

I really enjoyed this game, it has a very sharp learning curve. however once you get past it and taste of this gem, you will intantly fall in love. I am so engrossed in this game I'm at a loss for words, but I do hope this recommendation helps.

GRAPHICS AND PERFORMANCE

This game is full of performance issues. I get lag in certain areas of the game even with my gtx 1080 and my ryzen 5 3600 at 1080p. Not only that but the load times are ♥♥♥♥ unless you are running mods because for some reason bugthesda decided it would be a good idea to tie loading times to frame rate then lock the fps on load screens to 60. Probably has something to do with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ zombie engine, but OK, whatever, it can be improved with mods. The sad part is that even with all these performance issues the game still looks like ♥♥♥♥ if your playing vanilla. Even for 2015 it looks awful. Textures are blurry and animations are stiff as hell. Again, probably related to the zombie engine they resurrect every release.

GAME MECHANICS AND GAMEPLAY (ARE THEY FUN)

Well, in short, yes, it is kind of fun. The perk chart is easy to use and understand and survival adds a unique challenge to the game if your looking for more depth to your difficulty. The gun play isn't too bad either. It's no Call of Duty but it does it's job at least. Lots of cool weapons and builds to play with which I think is the main draw in terms of gameplay. Every playthrough feels different because of this and it is endless fun.

STORY AND ROLE PLAY

I feel that this aspect is the games main drawback and the reason a lot of people hate it so much. The cool part about bethesda games is that you kind of get to play as a tabula rasa and sort of make your own character as you go, but this time you take the role of a father who tries to get his son back from a mercenary. I find this very cliche and not only that but very poorly executed with a story full of plot holes and thing that just don't make sense. Like, why does the institute use synths that constantly go rogue to take over the common wealth? The games explanation of this amounts to "Oh, you just wouldn't understand". Also, why are their weapons so ♥♥♥♥. Their laser weapons are weaker than regular laser weapons, and regular laser weapons are not that good either. And the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dialog wheel in this game is so ♥♥♥♥ too. It gives you four vague options and sometimes none of them match what you want to say all for the sake of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ story.

CONCLUSION

If your a Fallout fan maybe skip this one and wait for the next Fallout. Maybe they will pay more attention to lore and story next time. If you want an addictive looter shooter with some light role playing elements and massive customization, then you will have a good time.
