You, solely, are responsible for this.

If you want an introduction, go watch Maxor's video. Trust me when I say, it's fun. The mechanics are hard to grasp at first but once you grasp them, know how to dodge homing missiles and how to use the AOA Limited, it gets extremely fun. Where do I start?

How about the gameplay. Fun, fast paced, arcade type gameplay. There's not much to it. Just wait until you lock on or you're missiles will hit and unload. The only parts you need to use your brain for are using your STDMs against planes and calculating if they'll hit or not, and making sure you don't crash into airships or ground because trust me, it can happen and will happen. Sometimes there's not even much you can do to avoid it.

As for the characters, Galaxy and Woodward are on top.

Galaxy is the team's AWACS, staying back and telling the team of what's ahead, if you're being locked on or if your missile is going to hit. He is probably my favourite character in the game because of how fun and bubbly he is, but he's energetic and can get serious at times. He keeps the team intact and keeps things straight. Over the course of the game, you'll see him get energetic in a way. For example: In a mission I wont name, he realizes he's the only friendly AWACS against like 6 Federations AWACS and he yells out "What do you mean I'm the only friendly AWACS!?". Honestly that might just be me, but I have a crush on this man. He's beautiful.

As for Woodward, you won't encounter him until around the middle of the game. He's the captain of the Super-Battleship named the "Imminent Domain". He's very light hearted and straight forward and has a huge amount of respect for Hitman Team. When you're playing his introduction mission, you begin to like him and then at the end, something happens and you end up racing to protect Woodward. It's a great introduction and when you win, he says they'll raise hell in your honor. In future missions, he greets Hitman Team with warmth while the other allies are sort of skeptical. You start out as mercenaries and nobody really respects you but Woodward respects you right off the bat and then the finale which I won't spoil but Woodward was one of the only people who treated you with warmth from the start while everybody else didn't really trust you. Then that all changes and you have immense respect, Woodward not changing and continuing to be warm towards you. He's an incredible character and I love him.

The other two of your group Comic and Diplomat aren't exactly lovable. Excuse my language but Comic is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and a pick me girl while Diplomat is laid back who has anger issues. He's more likable than Comic, but not as much as Galaxy and Woodward.

As for those who aren't apart of your group (Besides Woodward), you have Assassin and Ronin. Ronin is the ground team who actually takes objectives while you provide support. Most missions are taking down air superiority and taking out ground defenses so they can invade and take the bases. Ronin I would say is less likable as Diplomat, but that's because you hear much more from Diplomat as he's a main character while Assassin 1 are sort of there to be allies and to add flavour to conversations as just Galaxy, Diplomat and Comic speaking with sometimes Ronin wouldn't be very fun.

And then for the enemies... Where do I begin? First off, spoilors for the main antagionists, i wont spoil the ending.

Frost isn't really a main antagionist, but she's reoccouring and is annoying. You first enocunter Frost in the mid game shortly before the game turns Orange. I'll get to that with Crimson Squadron. She uses an Experimental Plane which is nothing like you've seen before. She's the first boss you enounter who only has one health bar, divided into 3 segments. it is FAST. it is AGILE. and it is POWERFUL. She doesn't really have long ranged weapons, apart from her railguns. Which for the first time in the game, she fires rapidly instead of the slow charge up you see on railguns. She takes a while to take down, but as long as you're focusing on not crashing and you can evade decent enough, she's not a threat. It's just a matter of endurance.

The second time you see Frost is in the very late game. She's teamed up with Master Goose who are mercenaries from the very first mission you played. She has multiple health bars once again, but even though she's flying with a squadron, taking down Master Goose doesn't deplete a bar. She is using a weaker aircraft than she used in her encounter, but don't get me wrong, it is still very much a threat. Combined with Master Goose, this can be a challenge if you're unprepared. She has the railguns and STDMs now, but she's not as fast or agile.

As for the main antagionists... where do I begin? First of all, Crimson Squadron are the best fighter pilots in the world (Canonically). You encounter them VERY early on and trust me when I say, you are NOT prepared for that fight. The entire purpose of that mission was to be a wake up call. it gets you damaged and it makes sure you have good flying skills by making you fly through tight tunnels, blow something up without hitting it or the tunnel walls and fly out, doing that 3 more times. You've been seeing Red Text throughout the game up to this point, and it's been mentioning something about Federation Peacekeepers. But they've always been busy or don't want to deal with weak mercs. You encounter them in this mission and unless you are either a god at dodging and landing shots, or this is another playthrough and you have an end game plane, you won't win the fight. The game wants you to retreat and that's the mission objective. You CAN fight them, but like I said, unless you're very skilled or have a strong plane, you aren't winning that fight. I replayed that mission over 6 times because I wasn't that good with dodging yet and they kept shooting me down.

Eventually, you'll encounter them again. if I'm not mistaken, you encounter them next in Clear Skies. There were so many targets in clear skies, you were pretty much scripted to use all your ammo (You can avoid it but that was clearly the intention). You then have to beat Crimson Squadron with miniscule rockets, or if you were like me, have to face them with your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Gun. By some sheer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miracle, I beat them using the gun only. They aren't pushovers, but it's showing you that they can be beaten, they're just difficult. By now, you're beginning to realize that Crimson 1 is very patriotic and cocky. He's willing to suicide more reinforcements at you if he thinks he has a chance to beat you.

You should be paying attention to diologue and cutscenes because before your next encounter with them, it's building up a type of Aircraft called the PW Mk1

During a mission, Galaxy starts to freak out, seeing the same event that happened to Captain Woodward in Imminent Domain, happening here. This time, you're too late to stop it. Surprise! Crimson 1 was here! And now the entire rest of the game will be Orange because Crimson 1 just destroyed north-america!

The very next mission after Crimson 1 destroys North-America, you encounter Crimson Squadron one final time. It's a battle of all or nothing. Diplomat is pissed at this point how they're back and finally, Crimson 1 is killed. Diplomat confirming he saw his plane blow up.

The ending is something you need to experience for yourself. But let me tell you. If you've been buying every plane in the game, you need something strong for this fight. This one mission includes everything people have struggled with so far.
