A coprehensive open world stealth/action game based on the popular franchise, Metal Gear.

This game takes action games to a whole new level by introducing staff management, multi-deployment environments, and story driven action game in an open world environment.

Take action as Venom Snake to rid the world of Cipher, a organization trying to take over the world. You'll be tasked with leading Diamond Dogs into victory by managing staff and developing your team. Traverse the huge desert of Afghanistan and exploring Africa. Missions are do as you please, will it be stealthy or all guns blazing. Trade/Sell materials to earn GMP and purchase new weapons. This Metal Gear series is a whole new take on a linear brand.

First Assault Online is a multiplayer game that takes place in the future where you play as (you choose from) Section 9, a special forces team. The game is an adaptation of the popular Ghost In The Shell series where you follow Motoko Kusanagi, the series' protagonist.

In this adaptation you partake as a member of Section 9, each to their own have special abilities. Major Kusanagi has stealth capabilities, Batou has an arm launcher, and many more.

Pro's
  • Well balanced gameplay, even with special abilities (may change in the future)
  • Teamwork is encouraged
  • Detailed maps

Con's
  • The spawning system is quirky with players spawning with invinsibility at locations behind enemy lines (may be fixed in the near future)
  • Not enough maps/small playing field (early access)
  • Settings are not in-depth, such as no option for higher anti-aliasing or higher anisotropic filtering, however the game still looks great, might be on purpose?

Do yourself a favor, save your money or invest in another game. This game has been in "Alpha" since 2013. The game is unbearable to play.
  • The game has been in alpha since 2013, that's either bad development or real dedication.
  • They consecutively release updates with new items/features however they do not fix old issues.
  • Zombies still clip/go through walls, this bug has existed since 2013 and the developers have promise that they would fix it.
  • Many items in the game have no real purpose or barely work due to the fact that the developers haven't fully fleshed out the feature, yet they decide to release it PLUS implement new features and forget about the previous items.
  • The game is horrendously optimized, with proper settings (not available inside the game settings) the game can be properly played.
  • The settings are confusing and deshelved. Clarification is needed, however Google is your friend.
  • Buildings that have cabinets, refrigerators, and boxes cannot be searched. A simple feature that can be added however it is neglected.
  • User interface is terrible.
  • It can take you hours of travelling and searching just to find the items you need to survive. You'll probably die before you can even get settled.
  • Network/Server infastructure is confusing and a mess? I suggest for you to find a home server that is considered a "private hive" and stick to it, this prevents cheaters from killing you.
  • The game is fun to play with friends.
  • You can make new friends, depending on what actions you take.

Initial impressions
(1/23/15)
The game is fantastic, once you get settled in, figure out the controls (Hits close to C&C) you will enjoy the game. The tech/build structure is great, seems/feels like almost everything is physical, from tank building capabilities to air supplements. However since this is a new game, it doesn't come with a few bugs and quirks, but it's not bothersome. If you like RTS with from what I assume is a great story, then this game definitely delivers.

Points and features
  • The game layout is very independent, it does not rely on a single upgrade that will unlock every feature in every structure.
  • The graphics are superb, however this being a new game, I believe that the performance can be improved.
  • The game is definitely worth the money. If you're a huge C&C fan you should definitely at least try this game.
  • Has a compelling plot.
  • Tutorial is a bit steep, however if you're a former RTS player of Starcraft or C&C then you should be familiar with the key layouts.
  • Price seems fair.
  • Soundtrack is great.

Tl;dr this game is great
