"NieR Replicant™ ver.1.22474487139..." continues the tradition of being a story-rich game akin to its predecessor, "NieR:Automata™" It skillfully evokes a range of emotions, offering moments of happiness, sadness, and delight. Personally, I found the story in "Replicant" to be slightly superior to "Automata."
However, certain narrative segments employ extensive text with a black screen, reminiscent of a novel. While the stories themselves are engaging, the lack of visual elements makes these sections less captivating. Introducing cutscenes, mini-games, or even static images akin to a picture book could enhance the experience without deviating from the original content.

Soundtrack:

The soundtracks in "Replicant" are masterpieces, living up to the high standard set by "Automata." The music is meticulously placed, adding to the overall immersive experience.

Gameplay:

Character Design: The characters, especially the enigmatic Kainé, showcase meticulous design, capturing the player's attention and fostering emotional connections.
Difficulty: There's a noticeable gap between Normal and Hard modes. Normal mode feels too easy, while Hard mode demands significantly more effort and resources. Veterans familiar with Automata may find Hard mode more suitable, while new players are advised to start on Normal mode.
Area Transition: The presence of loading screens during area transitions feels somewhat dated for a remake released in 2021. It slightly disrupts the flow of gameplay, especially when revisiting locations.
Combat: The combat system in "Replicant" is less diverse compared to "Automata," particularly in the ability to wield two different weapons simultaneously. Despite this, the combat remains engaging.
Fishing: The fishing system, though limited, is enjoyable. Some fish require specific techniques, adding a layer of depth to the activity.
Cultivation: The real-time world-based growth of plants in cultivation may be a downside for some players. Waiting for crops to fully grow can be tedious, but there are workarounds like adjusting the computer's time.

The game struggles to maintain a stable 60 FPS, often fluctuating between 58-60 FPS, with occasional drops to 48 FPS. A potential remedy is the "Special K" mod, offering a smoother experience. Hopes are pinned on future patches for optimization, reminiscent of NieR:Automata™.
