On par with Halls of Torment so far - but with more expansive loot drops / gear. Super addictive, super fun, Super Nintendo Sega Genesis.

One of the most satisfying games ever made; amazing Diablo-OG-style graphics and animation and a good balance between grind, power and difficulty. If you like seeing numbers go up, this is a must-buy.

Over 8 hours I haven't had any issues with crashing, or FPS issues. Sure, the frame rate fluctuates, but it does in everything from Elden Ring to Cyberpunk: at no point is it 'stuttery' or unresponsive. Apparently I'm lucky as it's been a flawless 8 hours so far and I'm totally floored by the attention to detail and craftsmanship. More than anything, I can't believe we have a modern Dragon's Dogma game, and it's a incredible.

Playing on a 5800X/32gb@3200/RTX3070 on Ultrawidescreen (3440 * 1440). The game supports Ultra Wide in terms of gameplay, but has borders for things like cutscenes and menus, so it's not 100% comprehensive support - but it works where it counts; rendering a gorgeous wide field.

I will update this with a meaningful content review in due course - but for anybody on the fence, with a similar spec, wondering if its POSSIBLE to have a flawless experience and good performance: the answer is yes, it certainly is.

This is a 'gem'of a Roguelite Spin-off in the Deep Rock Galactic universe...after 50 hours of gameplay at time of writing, here are my thoughts...

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is an absolute blast, delivering a near-flawless translation of the core Deep Rock Galactic experience into the endlessly replayable roguelite format. Funday Games has outdone themselves, creating a spin-off that stands confidently on its own while honoring the spirit of the original.

At its heart, Survivor exemplifies the addictive roguelite formula. Each run offers a fresh challenge, with procedurally generated levels ensuring no two experiences are alike. You're always on the move, blasting hordes of Glyphids, mining valuable minerals, and scrambling to stay ahead of the encroaching swarms. The combat is incredibly smooth and responsive, echoing the high-octane action of its predecessor. Each of the four classes (Driller, Engineer, Gunner, and Scout) provides a unique playstyle and powerful abilities. Seeing how far you can push yourself under relentless pressure will have you saying "just one more round!" long into the night.

From unique weapons and class-specific upgrades to potent artifacts and game-changing perks, Survivor is brimming with creative choices and a sense of tactical depth. There's a joy in experimenting with loadouts, discovering the insane synergies between upgrades, and adapting strategies with each new item you find. Survivor doesn't hold back with content either; there are tons of unlockables to keep you coming back for more, ensuring a rewarding progression system that motivates you to try out different playstyles.

Presentation is essentially flawless....despite the huge hordes of bugs, complete with their reflections on crystals, and some fantastic particle effects, the game keeps up pace and runs smoothly, with minimal loading times. The instant access to pause the game via the Right Mouse Button, with an overview of your current build, keeps you in the game as often and as quickly as you like.

If you're a fan of Deep Rock Galactic or simply love a well-crafted roguelite, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a must-play. With its smooth combat, creative upgrades, and deep progression, it's a captivating spin-off that delivers everything fans could hope for in this fresh format. Now, I have 3 more achievements for a clean-sweep...something I never do with Steam games!

If you're looking for a challenging but satisfying roguelike deckbuilder, you might want to check out Across the Obelisk. This game will test your strategic skills and your ability to adapt to different scenarios, as you face a variety of enemies and events in a randomly generated world. The game has a respectable difficulty level and learning curve, with a rewarding sense of progress as your skills improve. You can also play with up to three friends in co-op mode, which adds another layer of fun and complexity to the game.

But is it worth your time and money? Here are some pros and cons of the game to help you decide.

Pros:

- The game has a lot of replay value, thanks to its procedurally generated maps, random events, and different character classes. You can choose from four heroes, each with their own unique cards and abilities, and customize your deck as you progress through the game.
- The game has a co-op mode, where you can play with up to three other players online or locally. You can share cards, items, and resources with your teammates, and coordinate your strategies to overcome the challenges. The game also has a solo mode, where you can control all four heroes by yourself.
- The game has a charming pixel art style, with colorful graphics and animations. The game also has a catchy soundtrack and sound effects that match the mood of the game. The game has a humorous tone, with witty dialogue and funny references to pop culture and other games.

Cons:

- The game is still in early access, which means it may have bugs, glitches, and balance issues. The game is also not fully optimized, which may cause performance problems on some devices. The game developers are constantly updating the game, but some features may be missing or incomplete.
- The game can be very challenging, especially for beginners. The game has a steep learning curve, and you may encounter enemies and events that can wipe out your party in a few turns. The game also has permadeath, which means you lose all your progress if you die. The game does not have a difficulty setting, so you have to adapt to the game's rules.
- The game can be very repetitive, especially if you play for a long time. The game has a lot of content, but it may feel like you're doing the same things over and over again. The game also has a lot of RNG (random number generator) elements, which may make the game feel unfair or frustrating at times.

Across the Obelisk is not for the faint of heart, but if you enjoy a good challenge and a lot of replay value, you'll love this game. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes roguelikes, deckbuilders, or both.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is a masterpiece. It is a faithful remake of the original game, but it also updates the game with modern graphics, gameplay, and controls. The game is still scary, but it is also more action-packed and exciting than ever before.

Here are some of the things that I loved about Resident Evil 4 Remake:

The graphics are stunning. The game looks absolutely gorgeous, with detailed environments and realistic character models.
The gameplay is improved. The game is still a survival horror game, but it is also more action-packed than the original. The controls are tight and responsive, and the combat is satisfying.
The story is engaging. The game tells the same story as the original, but it is told in a more engaging way. The characters are more likable, and the plot is more suspenseful.
Overall, Resident Evil 4 Remake is a must-play for fans of the original game and fans of survival horror games in general. It is a faithful remake that updates the game with modern graphics, gameplay, and controls. If you haven't played Resident Evil 4 Remake yet, I highly recommend checking it out.

Here are some additional things that I loved about Resident Evil 4 Remake:

The atmosphere is terrifying. The game does a great job of creating a sense of dread and suspense.
The puzzles are challenging. The puzzles in the game are not too easy, but they are not too difficult either. They are just the right level of challenge to keep you engaged.
The boss fights are epic. The boss fights in the game are some of the best I have ever seen in a survival horror game. They are challenging, exciting, and visually stunning.
If you are looking for a scary, action-packed, and suspenseful survival horror game, then Resident Evil 4 Remake is the game for you. I highly recommend checking it out.

Devil May Cry 5 is a stylish action game that is sure to please fans of the series. The game features three playable characters, each with their own unique playstyle. Dante is the classic Devil May Cry character, with a wide variety of weapons and abilities. Nero is a new character who uses a powerful arm cannon to fight enemies. V is a mysterious character who summons demons to fight for him.

The game's combat is fast-paced and fluid, and it is incredibly satisfying to pull off stylish combos. The game also features a variety of enemies to fight, each with their own unique attacks. The game's difficulty is also well-balanced, and there is a lot of replay value to be found in trying to master the game's combat system.

Days Gone is a post-apocalyptic open-world action-adventure game developed by Sony Bend and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released for PlayStation 4 on April 26, 2019, and for Microsoft Windows on May 18, 2021.

The game was COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE for me initially, with the frame rate dropping in and out constantly. After formatting my system, the game has worked extremely well, with a rock-solid frame rate (which was my main priority in migrating from the PS4 Pro version to the PC version).

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Oregon, two years after a global pandemic has turned most of the population into cannibalistic "Freakers". Players take control of Deacon St. John, a former outlaw biker who must survive in this new world by scavenging for supplies, fighting Freakers, and helping other survivors.

Days Gone received mixed reviews upon its release, with critics praising its open-world gameplay, graphics, and story, but criticizing its repetitive missions and technical issues. However, the game has since gained a cult following, with many players praising its atmosphere, characters, and gameplay.

Here are some of the things that I liked about Days Gone:

The open-world is vast and beautiful, with a variety of different environments to explore.
The graphics are top-notch, with impressive character models and detailed environments.
The story is engaging and well-written, with a cast of memorable characters.
The gameplay is fun and challenging, with a variety of different weapons and abilities to use.
The hordes are a unique and challenging enemy type, that require careful planning and execution to defeat.
Overall, I really enjoyed Days Gone. It's a great game with a lot to offer. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic games, or if you're just looking for a fun and challenging open-world experience, then I highly recommend checking it out.

Here are some of the things that I didn't like about Days Gone:

The missions can be repetitive at times.
The game can be buggy, especially at launch.
The pacing can be slow at times.
Despite these flaws, I still think Days Gone is a great game. It's a lot of fun to play, and it has a lot to offer fans of post-apocalyptic games. If you're looking for a new game to play, I highly recommend checking it out.

God of War is a masterpiece of storytelling, action and exploration. The game follows the journey of Kratos, a former Greek god of war, and his son Atreus, as they venture into the realm of Norse mythology. The game is set years after Kratos’ vengeance against the gods of Olympus, and he now lives as a man in a harsh and unforgiving world. He must teach his son to survive and fight, while also dealing with his own rage and past.

The game is visually stunning, with high fidelity graphics that enhance the beauty and brutality of the Norse world. The game supports true 4K resolution, on supported devices, with unlocked framerates for peak performance. The game also offers a wide range of graphical options to customize your experience, such as higher resolution shadows, improved screen space reflections, GTAO and SSDO, and more.

The game is also a joy to play, with visceral and physical combat that challenges you to use your skills and strategy. You can use Kratos’ new main weapon, the Leviathan Axe, which can be thrown and recalled at will, as well as his fists and shield. You can also command Atreus to assist you in combat with his bow and arrows, or use his abilities to stun or distract enemies. The game features a variety of enemies, from draugrs and trolls to dragons and valkyries, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The game also has epic boss battles that test your limits.

The game is not just about combat, though. It is also about exploration and discovery. You can travel across nine realms of Norse mythology, each with their own secrets and surprises. You can find hidden chests, collectibles, lore markers, side quests, puzzles and more. You can also upgrade your gear, skills and abilities by using resources and currency found in the world. The game has a lot of content and replay value, as you can unlock new areas and challenges after completing the main story.

The game is also a powerful emotional journey, with a compelling story and characters. The game explores the themes of fatherhood, family, identity, redemption and fate. The game has excellent voice acting, motion capture and facial animation that bring the characters to life. The game also has a dynamic and immersive soundtrack that matches the mood and tone of the game.

God of War is a game that deserves all the praise and awards it has received. It is a game that will stay with you long after you finish it. It is a game that you should not miss. It is a game that I highly recommend to anyone who loves action, adventure and storytelling.

**If you're a 3070 user, lower your Target Power and Temperature to enjoy the game without any noise from the fans.**

Nobody will see this, so here goes: I'm gaeyyy.

Also Grim Dawn is top 3 ARPGs of all time. Item management is pretty horrendous; loot drops NON STOP and storage space is very limited. Use "GD Item Assistent" to gain infinite storage space in a nice little Windows App that runs alongside GD.
