I love reading the negative reviews for this one, it feels like I'm playing a completely different game than them. Game requires active play and vigilance, but where they all seem to struggle through winter, my villagers just huddled around the Odin circle while I kept the fires lit and the revenants at bay.

I can't wait for the developers to add more

Its rainpunk. Its always raining, sometimes it rains more than normal. Everything is wet, its rainpunk afterall.

Its like if every level of AoE or every banished or rimworld village continued to persist after you sustained it or failed and its ruins were there to be picked up by another group of settlers. Or its there to trade with as you move on to set up another challenging village in the forest. It'll rain a lot, sometimes rain is good. mostly its bad... and every few years in the game, it rains so hard the world is washed clean... and then you head back out, into the rain.

Highly recommended

This feels more like mobile game store f2p based off a bad Mount & Blade arena fight. The game shouldve focused more on the school and less on the random pool of fighters you play as. AC: Origins had a better gladiator minigame within it and Bannerlord arena fights are far better.

I've got a list. Its not a long list but its games you can replay for the experience and how it shifts and changes. This is already on the list and i'm on my first play through.

I know it belongs with New Vegas, Arcanum, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age and Fallout among a few select others but those are first to my mind.

Play it, don't be afraid to commit to the outcomes without reloading a save. They will have far reaching effects through the game and lead you to play it again and again in whole new ways.

I hope the Dragon Age 3 dev team is paying attention...

Was hoping for a tactical RTS in the vein of Myth from the direction of Men of War set in the Viking/Medieval era. Instead its a boiled down Age of Empires (I've noticed a lot of positive reviews are people that think AoE is the pinnacle of RTS games) masked in tactics and Total War combat animations that amount to nothing more than a zerg rush around maps burning buildings and magically replacing them with peasants in your color tunic. To be fair I only played a strange set of tutorial missions in which they've turned the Lindisfarne raid into some massive campaign sacking forts and villages and calling the people "British" which feels weirdly anachronistic.

The graphics are quite nice and the musical score is epic and makes you feel that you are getting way more than you actually do.

In the end I would give this game 2/5 Ragnar Lothbroks but 0/10 Uhtred son of Uhtred's. It looks good but any substance is hidden perhaps in the other campaigns maybe? Would be a shame to start the game with the opening it did and hide the real game behind some other nations campaigns.
