Tons of fun! I recommend using a controller even though I don't for most games. At first, I thought this game would be similar to Overcooked!, but it does a lot to distance itself, chiefly with its Roguelite mechanics. I found it very easy to play solo and enjoyed the progression system, which motivated me to play more. You can also build/design automation systems, but this is not the focus of the game.

So much about this game feels fresh! It really highlights the storytelling and creativity possible in gaming. And it has relatively simple yet engaging gameplay on top of that.

Incredible! This game is successful, at least on Challenge Mode, in making you think about people and what will motivate them to do what you want rather than what is perhaps best for them. This naturally leads to it being advantageous to understand the enemy you are faced with in the story, particularly its ideology. But, if this seems too daunting, there are "advanced" interrogation techniques (I didn't use any, but I imagine they help), you can play in Detective Mode (where you can get hints), or you can play in Graphic Novel Mode to feast on the juicy story and gameplay unrelated to interrogation.

I will need to play more to understand the inner workings, but I enjoy that I was able to get the Lead Detective to have the principles I idealize myself having in their shoes. Seeing how things unfolded with my input felt very vindicating, almost as if the game was structured to make a statement that the way I chose to play the game was an approach that should be taken more often in real life. I will need to replay to see if this feeling is magnificently crafted no matter what you do or if the way I happened to choose is truly the only way to play it. Regardless, I got a lot out of the game in terms of artful and personal fulfillment, not just play time.

My fews critiques are as follows:
1. the English localization had several noticeable typos, but it only hindered my comprehension once. Although, I am surprised how good it was overall, particularly in parts discussing philosophy, religion, or ideology
2. the scroll bar would frequently decide I was trying to click on it instead of dialogue options, despite clicking near the left edge of the dialogue boxes (scroll bar is on the right side).
3. I want more! Although I imagine the game is fairly replayable, where you role-play as the Lead Detective with different principles. My first playthrough was on Challenge, so I think it would also be replayable if you did not start on the highest difficulty.

Overall, this may be my favorite game ever. Other games may entertain you "more" or for longer, but the quality of this game and the experience it provides is simply stellar. While playing, it truly transported me to another world and made me forget I was playing a game at my desk. I have no doubt that this game will leave a lasting impact on me and in those terms, it is unrivaled by the other titles I've played.

This game is unironically very fun and pretty much the perfect party game because it's a dollar, it's easy to start playing, and has no player cap (easily play with 15 players). The net code is really good, surprisingly, and there's just the right amount of jank-- a lot.
