TLDR - Truly a Stalker VR game, has an amazing environment to explore and be spooked by.

Into the radius VR is a very special game, much like the brilliant works it is inspired by.
You have to understand that this is not a 'story focused' game, nor is it a technical exercise. The fact that this game is often compared to boneworks or Alyx should be a complement in of itself, but its in my opinion missing the point. It is not a tightly designed game in the typical sense. This game is Stalker VR, not Metro.

I am pleased to say, just like STALKER, this game's main feature is its environment. It is within this environment you have a plethora of dynamic systems which in unison create a really non-linear experience. You can explore and get lost in this place, or you can be guided by the scent of objectives and realise that radius does not want you there. The game feels very much alive, which is a surprise because there is (as far as I know,) no clever macro-AI.

Some people will focus on specific mechanics, I understand that the gun-play is not as tight as say Pavlov, or that the sense of progression and pacing is not as obvious as Alyx. However, its character more than makes up for it. Unfortunately, this part is where I can start criticising. Though before I do though I need to make it clear there is no feature above that is weak enough to let the game down.

The game has similar gameplay loop issues and a lack of full diversity. Apologies in advance, I am comparing this game not to VR titles but what I genuinely see as its spiritual successor. The key thing is not a lack of content but a lack of extra systems which make the game exponentially non-linear. I totally respect the early state of the game, plus I don't want every feature from Stalker mimiced. However, I just feel like the threat of the zone is still not quite enough to get me going yet. I really crave things like emissions, randomness in anomolies and greater enemy varieties. I don't have to worry about radiation, or status ailments keep my mind racing while my heart is during a gunfight.

You have to understand when the focus of the game is so close to brilliance its becomes the main flaw as well. Atmospherically its up there already, a brilliant world I can't wait to learn every inch of. Aesthetic is on point. A few crashes I have to mention.. I am very invested in this title and would say its worth the cost already. Get it yourself but no harm in waiting for a sale, just please spread the word about this game because its a miracle we are already getting a gem like this.

Ignoring the cost of electricity, the internet bill, and time spent, this game is the cheapest habit/vice money can buy.

First game that made me spend the effort of requesting a refund. As a PC port its really, really bad. Loads of mappings are not re-configurable, mouse is awful, and graphically theres something wrong with it. Lots of the games features are based around a controller, which is not warned. Do not rely on mods to make this playable, it will not work. Controller is mandatory, and that is sad.

Unless you aim to play this with a controll, or enjoy mouse look that feels like pulling out teeth, do not buy this.
Worst port for mouse input I can remember playing.

Going to leave a review for this game as no one mentions why this version is actually the superior verison of dark souls, which means you should buy this, even if you own a copy of the original.
Dispite the lack of mods, fun bugs, and superior graphical fidelity (when you include mods), this game actually has better keyboard and mouse support than the original, even when it is modded.

However, it is still a meh port, and you are feeding the grubby fiends who killed the playerbase, and modding community by releasing this game while taking away the original. So, if you are against awful practises like this you /should/ avoid buying it.

This is honestly is so good it saddens me it isn't more popular. Its so barebones while being so gratifying in everything it focuses on. Aaa a is good. One of the best team based shooters ever TF2 eat your heart out.
