2024 was the waiting game. It was the first 100% year on Linux and it was also when things started getting better (still alpha / beta quality) for compatibility with other storefronts. Due to a lot of issues, I've lowered the bar to last year's and spent a lot time tinkering with my setup. A year of extremes, with very good games and very bad at the same time.

2023 was a weird game for gaming on my part. I finished less games than in recent years and this is mostly because it is getting harder and harder to find worthwhile retro games. In 2023 I also made the full switch to Linux so all of my gaming is done through various compatibility layers.
In 2022 I spent a lot of time with known games that appear on a lot of people's recommendations and top x lists. While I generally know that I'll regret playing over-hyped mainstream choices, this year was really the bottom of the barrel for me. With a mean score of 5.76, it was the worst in the last 15 years... Gotta' stay away from them recommendations.
