People joke about naked men and dongers but fail to properly give an opinion on this game. My opinion is not to get rust, YET. I believe if the developers (they ARE competent) continue the way they are then the game will be worth it's salt in half a year, minimum. This is NOT because of ingame content. In game content is fine, BUT; The game is PLAGUED by the ABC's of gaming being missing. Hackers, are everywhere you go in Rust, this is because anti-cheat is either non-existant or poorly made SO FAR. The other thing is that the engine running the game IS IN AN ALPHA. No server can currently run more than 30 players for 24 hours without experiencing frame tearing, no matter how good your machine is you will fall victim to frames skipping and dying because of it. The plot and essence of the game is AWESOME, truly, BUT The 2 fallouts (Engine lag and No powerful anti-cheat) make this not worth $20 right now. My honest opinion with over 400+ hours in Rust.
