It's good, but I would personally prefer late levels not to be carpeted with enemies. There's hordes, and there's this lol. Combat loses a lot of it's tactical potential when you just have to rotate your 6 combos and dodge the purple floors. A little more breading room during late-game combat, with harder enemies to balance it out, would probably make it less repetitive.

Still nice and very unique, even for people that never really enjoyed Warriors games before this one.

I wasn't sure about this one, but it's great! Playing on Nightmare difficulty, combat feel like a mix between Souls games, Godfall and DmC (without the air juggling). A lot more impactful and fun that I thought. As a whole, the game reminds me of a modern Kingdoms of Amalur. Worth every penny!

Hats off to the devs that turned an "online only" MMO into an amazing singleplayer game!

No clue why the reviews are so negative. It's a very nice game with great visuals, bloodsplosions, LOTS to unlock, original content, runs very well, and offers a unique CQC alternative to most other horde survivors. Top tier quality and worth every penny! Never seen the movie, and probably never will...

Only wish we could disable damage numbers to see a bit better and appreciate the carnage more (they are quite big and invasive).

Played the demo for a few hours; it's what I wish Brotato ended up being. Sold!

(got over 20 hours in the beta, not shown here sadly)

A lot of new systems over the original game, and more challenge. Not a super big fan of how you have to beat bosses to get some organs (skills), but otherwise it's a straight up upgrade compared to the first game. Plenty of PoE DNA in there as well, which is quite nice!

We need more spell-programming games like this, Magicraft and Noita.

Endlessly replayable F.E.A.R., or at least the closest we'll ever got. Still has some Doom 2 DNA in there, but it's great if you enjoy either or both games.

EDIT: this is running 24/7 on my computer, smoothing out games, videos, Youtube, etc. No ideea why Steam logs in only 8 minutes . . .

-----

WTF. How did this little app pull FPS smoothing before big brands figured it out!? Most games I play benefit from it, with some native capped at 60 that now run at a smooooooth 165! The resolution scaling I didn't even use; it's worth it for the FPS boost alone.

This is the best money I've spent this year, easily. If you as much as see this app on the store, BUY IT!

Loved the demo, but I'm not a big fan of spells being rewarded after each level. I mean, once I have the 4 I want for my build, I keep skipping that selection because I'm not interested in trading a good spell for a gamble. If the reasoning is that that is the way to upgrate AoE size and attack speed (with minor passives), I think it's worth a rework because this system is not on par with how good and creative the upgrade system was in the original game - which did a lot of things right if you ask me :)

Looking forward to playing the full game!

1.1 UPDATE: Getting better and better, plus endgame is quite fast - like Chronicon. I understand other reviews that said it took a bit of time to become nice. Still room for more variety in the combat (clouds of enemies), but it's still quite nice for this type of survivors game.

Also, worth every penny for the soundtrack alone. It's VERY good!

For the record: Chronicon is my favorite ARPG, and I played most of them. This iteration could be good, but it's just fine at the moment. It's a solid start, but there are a few things that I think make it quite banal:

-There is little creativity in skill perks. The choice is nice, but all skill have the same set of 4 upgrades
-Killing bosses gives you automatic rewards, which include skills you might not want, so the game feels like every other horde survivor out there, where it's all about stacking a bunch of skill, essentially creating a generic AoE of random skills, where none of them shine and things dies to whatever (chaining lightning, saw blades circling you, random direction arrows, etc.). There is not making a "build", you just always end up with the (almost) same identical build, dishing random damage around you.
-This in another one where you basically just kite a huge cloud of enemies that damage you on contact. Nothing original here, it's just that usual mass of monsters that eventually die, to be replaced by other identical monsters
-The skill tree is uninspired, where most upgrades are just 1-5% more damage, health or utility, with very little stacking I might add. Maybe you'll reach 10% or 15% more of everything on the whole tree, but the gameplay remains the same regardless since those are insignificant upgrades.

If this is just EA version of the game, then knowing the dev team, I'm very much looking forward to the final product. If it's a representation of what the game will be in the end, then I see it as a donation for their next game, but cannot see myself playing more of it (EDIT: I actually did on update 1.1. and plan of jumping in more over the coming days/weeks).
