This is the single greatest CRPG I have played in my entire life. Yes, this includes Baldurs Gate 3, I am a 40k fan boy so I am biased as hell but it is true.

**LAUNCH REVIEW**

Now I played KSP 1 from the very early alpha, so when I say that KSP 2 is WORSE... it really is. I wont lie and say there is potential but I would hold off on purchasing until at least the science package is out. While I am happy to toss some cash their way to keep the lights on, for $50 I dont feel this is commensurate.

**FOR SCIENCE REVIEW**

As of December 2023 the game has been fixed a lot. There is still a long road ahead and we arent due to quite match what KSP1 has for a while but I think we have crossed the "fun to play" threshhold. If you are new to the series still get KSP1, however for new fans who want to support the game dont feel like you are throwing your money into a pit of fire. KSP2 has done enough to earn a second chance, and I for one eagerly await their future updates.

**TAKE 2 INTERACTIVE CRISIS**
WELP NEVERMIND FOLKS KSP2 IS DEAD! Studio is confirmed dying and this ship is never reaching its destination as it crashes on the rocks of broken promises. Save your money and buy KSP1 and just install the Real Solar System mods and colonization mods!

A tad buggy but the game is good on PC if you have the right hardware like I do.

This game is pure weaponized insanity, and I love every second of it.

There has been a lot of problems this launch but I havent had any troubles.
The game runs great and its an absolute feast for the eyes, the story guides you through getting the hyperdrive and all the antimater. Whats more the language system is wonderfully created and really rewards taking the time to find ruins. Its built that learning words makes it easier to learn MORE words. Its a fun game if you enjoy a good scifi

Let me tell you my story...
I awoke in the middle of the woods with virtually nothing. Freezing my virtually solid I wander around and eventually come to a large frozen lake with multiple Ice Fishing huts. I go hut to hut and find basic supplies before finding several cabins... all without a fire place so I cant build a fire.
I eventually come to a large ranger station... and a corpse inside... frozen. I loot his body and store what I have inside, I now have a home.
After that I walked out and started exploring and manage to find a train wreck and another corpse... this one with a rifle. I take it and continue to explore only to get pinned down by a blizzard. I barly manage to get back home to my cabin in one piece.
The next day I go out again and get some fish in the ice fishing huts hoping to get food and guts so I can take down bigger prey, Turns out though they dont give guts, however on the way back home I come across a dear carcass and 20 pounds of meat...
Jackpot
I had a treasure, enough meat to last me for weeks. I carry it all back and begin to cook it up but without a hatchet my main fire source becomes sticks which become annoying to have to deal with.
Eventually I decide to follow the train tracks by my ranger station and see where it leads me, and I come to a hydroelectric dam. Inside is a wealth of treasure and a large safe.
Figuring that is where the canadians hid their syrup I spend forever opening it, only to find a glowing premium winter survivalist super mega coat...
If the dear caracs was a jackpot this was like winning the powerball lottery, and with that coat I found something else... a pair of strong winter boots.
Tennis shoes you have been replaced!

All in all this is a great game with a lot of potential.
A lot of people complain about the fairly bare bones crafting system and lack of player built shelter. However this is still early in development and Im sure that wil come soon enough. I love this game and it is worth every cent. Space engineers didnt start out with much and look at it now! The same can be said for Kerbal Space Program. This game has a lot of room to grow before it can become a full game in its own right, but at this point it is STILL a bunch of fun.
Very few games have the kahunas to throw you against nature without cazy radioactive zombies.
This is nature as it SHOULD be, you VS nature and all she can throw against you.

Let me say this right now. This is a wonderful game, I love the cold system and how it takes into account wind breaks, making you really have to decide where you want to hole up.
If you can find a good place to make your base you can do well, but it will still be hard. Nature is a bipolor cazy woman with a billion cats in her house and will go from happy go lucky to freezing everything around her with a violent blizzard.

I especially like the Journal feature and I was a big fan of writing down what happened each day inside, my plans, my experiances, how I felt each time I came close to death. I think it would be a good idea to allow us to keep that after our character dies. A lot of us really put a lot into those.
In short, tread carefully, less you go forever into The Long Dark

It's like Skyrim with guns.... and mechs... and a hot buxum girl named foxy Moxey who always speaks in sexual innuendo, and is on the planet pandora, and wait this isnt that much like Skyrim at all is it...
It's still great 10/10 it is a masterpiece
