So much effort went into this game that I can say after 70 hours into the game I think I have only seen about half of what there really is. The good thing is that there is so much variety in regions, content, sidequests, interesting characters, (I guess also different endings), that I never got bored and always found something interesting and new to uncover or explore. Even if the main story bosses are a little bit easier than say in Dark Souls 3, but if you want the challenge there are more than enough really tough fights in optional questlines and dungeons.

The open world of Elden Ring is one of the most beautiul and fleshed out of its kind and the way the different locations are interlinked and connected is brilliant. As this remindes me of the masterful level design of Dark Souls I, I am even more reminded of that in the legacy dungeons like Stormveil Castle. Lots of hidden paths, secret rooms, the list goes on.

But the aspect that sells it the most for me in this game is the story. A beautiful and captivating story that makes you want to dig deeper, find out what all those allusions given by characters mean, what the deep secrets of the Lands Between are and much more. I wont go into any more detail here as you need to experience that for yourself, but let me just say that I had the pleasure to experience my best boss fight yet and I am not finished with the game.

In terms of combat mechanics, skills and weapons this is probably closest to Dark Souls 3, but with lots of improvements, new mechanics and the entirely new horse combat (although I think the controls of that could be somewhat more precise).
The ashes of war systems allows for even more build (pve & pvp) freedom and gives me high hopes for its multiplayer scene. Maybe the only real thing that falls kind of flat for Elden Ring will be speedruns (at least All Bosses) because this game is just to freaking big.

Also this game is huge and I can see that some people might say they get lost because there is no questlog or overall path to follow, but thats a thing with lots of open worlds and in Elden Ring you at least find something in every corner and niche you go to.

I guess there is plenty of reason why almost all major critics gave this game a 10/10 and so do I.
Do yourself a favor and give this a play. You probably won't regret it!

GTA 5 Online is a well constructed game that is still being played quite a lot and has a active player community.
Rockstar still upgrades the game with the next big DLC upgrade ("Casino DLC") right arround the corner.
The game has graphics that still compete with a lot of newer games, a very nice storymode and a very complex multiplayer.
The open-world of the game is one of the best of its kind because of the level of realism and detail put into it.

The only thing I really need to criticise is the lack of rockstar responding to community wishes and patching the wrong bugs/glitches. Because of that the freemode of GTA Online has basically become a warzone full with futuristic and/or weponized vehicles pretty much destroying the once so present "crime" aspect of the game and runing the overall experience especially for new players who have nothing to defend them against all kinds of tryhards and griefers.

The game could be way better if some game mechanics were nerved and (maybe through the new DLC) the crime aspect would get more into the focus of game again.
But because of the incredible open-world, storymode and the fun you can have with friends in this game, it is a clear recommendation for you to play it even long after its release.
