Once again SHIFT servers ruining the multiplayer experience, literally unable to play co-op half the time. Somehow they managed to downgrade basic features in the game such as UI, inventory, less menu options and map usage is a complete mess. Unbindable keys that stop you from interacting or cause using the in-game menu to be very frustrating.

On the plus side gunplay is slightly better than in previous games.

Good game dragged down by a fairly negative community.

The gameplay itself is great and offers a good amount of variety with the card system and different characters to choose from, but the corruption cards feels lacking for now and you only really see the difference when you draw something like fog/dark/boss/horde.

Maybe I have been lucky, but in my 150+ hours of solo queing veteran difficulty I have not met a single griefer that would intentionally stop us from progressing or team kill. On the flipside there are a ton of new players and those that don't understand what it means to play a team game.

Regarding the november update that brought the biggest outrage in the community. Many of the nerfs to cards (mostly melee) and buffs to bosses/mutations were necessary, some of it was whatever. With the right melee cards you could become somewhat immortal and kill most of the specials in mere seconds on veteran. Only major thing with the update was them breaking temporal health and trauma damage, which was reverted soon after. People just seem to have a hard time adapting to new things and rather point out flaws in the game.

All in all the game itself is a lot of fun to play and hopefully the future updates add to replayability. Definitely worth picking up on sale for 30-40$ or less, would not recommend paying full price with the reused level design on multiple levels. Best played in a group of 2-4 as solo queing can get tedious and frustrating at times.
