Message to whoever the ♥♥♥♥ holds the System Shock IP now.

The lack of communication between EA and the System Shock community has been a frustrating experience. While continued support for current and future products is greatly appreciated, fans of the System Shock series have waited years for a word on when the franchise will return.

So, Instead of focusing efforts in a negative and disrespectful way, we have decided to gain EA's attention by delivering a basic message:

Your oldest and longest running fanbase would like better communication.

Waiting patiently for over 13 years can be challenging as a fan, especially when E3 comes and goes without any sign of the System Shock series and its continuation. EA had stated that information was scheduled to be released towards the end of 2006, and we believe that if they have chosen to change those plans, fans should be acknowledged, regardless of developmental plans for the next System Shock project.

The entire trilogy of games was scheduled to be completed and released by 2007, and if EA have decided to do other things for the time being, that is fine; all that we ask for is a basic response on the matter, and to let fans know whether or not the current story arc is scheduled to conclude at another point in time.

In addition: This message is in no way, shape or form attempting to rush the development of the System Shock series; in fact, most members agree that EA should take the time needed to deliver a complete and polished product.

If you agree with the above message and statements, please join this group and share your support constructively.

Hopefully such attention will be recognized by EA, and the community's voice will be heard.

Late as hell, but still.

I made this as a parody initially. A parody of that Half-Life group.

Ironically enough, we got what we wanted. They didn't. System Shock 3 is not only in development, but so is a System Shock 1 remake.

I guess our job here is done.

My addition should help with the virgin thing. Just sayin'. With regards to being stupid, I can;t say, misdirected? probably. System shock might take a cue from the Earthbound community and form petitions (start mailing EA pipes, perhaps?). Posing to EA that System Shock be added to Greenlight would be an excellent way to frame the matter.

Is it possible, however, that while EA holds the rights, that some of the licensing rights, etc. are not held by them, thus preventing them from releasing Sytem Shock 1 &2? I liketo think there's more than a desire not to make money behind their decision, personally.
