Hey gents, alpha here giving some background info.

There has been some work happening behind the scenes to get /v/Arma serviceable again. For the sake of clarity and to build a little hype I'm outlining what the short term goals are for the group and how we hope to accomplish them:

First of which is the server. Myself and the other officers have one spec'ed out that will give us the flexibility of being a dedicated server and for hosting content to get changes and get everyone on board. More details to come at a later time. It's powerful enough to both host game server, teamspeak, several HC's and host any sized modpack that we want to have in the future.

Speaking of content, consider this the warning order for op SOP. We will be running as many stock assets as possible to keep the barrier of entry as low as possible. Tentative packing list is as follows:

• ACE3
  
• ACRE2
  
• Possibly a few well made vehicles, weapons, and locales but the focus at the outset will be default gear for size reasons.
  
• Minimal gameplay adjustments for quality of operations and life.

The goal is to keep the modpack below 1gb initially and see where we go from there.

This in turns leads to mission making. We are looking for volunteers to make stock arma mp scenarios for about 20 operators to start with. They need to be stock as to allow for easy intergration and compatibility once the modpack is finalized. COOP takes preference but TVT will also be possible, with some recommendations as follows:

• Focus on being training exercises (ie. MOUT to train cover use and squad leading aptitude)
  
• AO of 4 km^2 max
  
• Will have equal team slots (rifleman for a rifleman) unless assymmetry is called for (ie. tanks v AT infantry to practice gunnery of each)
  
• Have a time limit of 15/30 minutes (infantry/multirole respectively) to allow for multiple sessions and encourage role rotation

Well atleast soon. The Problem was that we had to write a support ticket every time we wanted to restart the server ( add / change missions for example ), an automatic solution was impossible, we tried for HOURS

Therefore we will wait for proper serverfiles now, it was a good try but it just didn't work out that well. Dwarden said they'd be due in "days to weeks", so hopefully soon
