Steam Profile Backgrounds are virtual backgrounds earned by crafting badges on Steam that can be that can be used on your Steam profile.

Craft game badges for backgrounds

Unlike the current badges, crafting games badges earns you tradable items like profile backgrounds and more items. Level up your badge by collecting the set again and earning more backgrounds.

Trade your backgrounds

You can sell or swap your backgrounds with other members. Even the unmarketable ones, the ones that can no longer be sold or bought on the community market.
