Insurgency servers for those who enjoy suffering.

Based on the Behind Death's Door Insurgency checkpoint server, these servers are those looking for unfair checkpoint fights. Bots are high in number and supply points to make for a challenging fight.

'DOOM mode' trial server active.

So, I've temporarily turned server #1 into a metaphorical and literal hell. DOOM mode features the following:

  • Rapid point capture (bots too! Stay on point or they will cap really fast!)
  • Reduced resupply (forget about resupplying, pretty much)
  • More aggressive/unpredictable bots
  • Improved bot aim/reaction time
  • Heavily reduced round time (max ~3 minutes between objectives, no lollygagging!)
  • Instant bot spawning
  • Counter attack on every objectives
  • Reduced counter attack duration (60 to 35 seconds)
  • No bot-count scaling

It's now very fast paced and insanely difficult. It may even be nearly impossible on some maps. You and your team will need to move very quickly, scavenge weapons and grenades, and STAY ON POINT.

I'm still tuning the mode, so any feedback is appreciated!

Note that there may be significant lag at times because this mode has not been optimized. May cause severe frustration and rage quitting. Best played while listening to Rob Zombie.

Admin commands now working

Admin commands should now be working again, hopefully. Pretty much every server had problems with it after the update. If they don't work for you, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

In the meantime, the servers seem to have stablilzed, but are still occasionally crashing. I'l keeping tabs on it to see if I can pin down the cause.

Either you couldn't afford $8 a month in hosting or my way of running a server was better than yours all along.

hey guys check out our new server that is strictly moderated , we are looking for some good natured and efficient players , hardcore checkpoint with good teammates the way it should be

list of incompetent and annoying players is logged and implemented , keeping the player pool full of good and well mannered players

I see, awesome, I will certainly make use of the servers while their still up, completely understandable as all things have to come to an end at some point (obviously) haha. Anyhow thanks for leaving the plug intact for the time being :)

I have thought about dropping the servers at some point, though. I don't really play the game anymore and just let my control server manage it. Don't think I've even checked the servers myself since last year. Just don't really have the time/interest.

Servers are back up for now. This is what happens when I leave things automated and don't check them for months lol. Forgot to update my credit card on the VPS hosts.

Assuming the servers are shut down indefinitely as so is the website, It was fun :( pretty much the only server i played on for years, helped me improve immensely as an fps player, as i really enjoyed the way the server was setup. Probably time for me to move on to new games anybow, doesn't seem like a bad time to give sandstorm another try. Anyways just wanted to leave my appreciation here, many thanks :)
