ABOUT The Stomping Land

The Stomping Land Steam Group

The Stomping Land is a multiplayer survival game where you assume the role of a tribal hunter on an island teeming with dinosaurs.

The hunter must eat and drink in order to survive but he must be wary of predators that threaten his life and primary food source. To overcome this, the hunter must use the resources he gathers to upgrade his weapons, build campsites and set traps to bring down his prey. Successful hunters tame dinosaurs using them as mounts. Unsuccessful hunters meet death.

Dinosaurs aren't the only threat on the island. Other hunters are there too. Some are friendly and will want to form a tribe with you. Others are hostile and will try to kill you for your resources. Or worse, destroy your campsite and steal your totem heads. Totem heads are the means by which a tribe will tame a dinosaur. The more totem heads added to the tribes totem, the easier it is to tame larger, more terrifying dinosaurs such as the Carnotaurus.

- Added item inventory functionality (Default: Spacebar)
- Various materials can be salvaged off of fallen dinosaurs
- Crafting is now done within the inventory
- Added essential recipes
- Added craftable traps: Arrow Trap, Whistling Trap, Barrage Trap, Smoke Trap, Launch Trap *
- Large dinosaurs can now be damaged by arrows
- Changed expertise to be rewarded from salvaging dinosaurs instead of slaying them
- Campsites are now able to be built in the caves
- Removed expertise-shrines
- Various effects and adjustments

* A few seconds after being placed, a trap will become active and completely hidden to everyone. They can be tripped by humans, dinosaurs, and even the owner.
* A trap will self destroy if not triggered within a few minutes.

Arrow Trap - Trip - Low cost trap that fires a single arrow in a specific direction.
Whistling Trap - Proximity - Once triggered, all undistracted dinosaurs in a quarter-mile will investigate this location.
Barrage Trap - Trip - Rapidly fires an onslaught of arrows in a broad general direction.
Smoke Trap - Proximity - Impairs vision and snares movement of the target.
Launch Trap - Proximity - Sends the target sailing into the air, prone to fall damage. (Doesn't work on dinosaurs)

- Added the Puertasaurus
- The Gallimimus and Stygimoloch can now be knocked out with 1 arrow
- Reduced the potency of small-meat consumption to a forth of its previous effect
- Expertise is now gained from hunting(amount is creature dependant)
- Removed passive expertise gain
- A stampede is now always occurring on some part of the island

I would greatly appreciate it if you would like it and favorite it since I have worked hard on it. Hopefully, with your feedback, I will be able to create a guide that covers everything in the game. For those of you who have backed the game through Kickstarter, your keys will begin to be released tomorrow. I urge you to spread the word about this game through releasing videos and livestreams if possible. Also, those of us who didn't have the chance to back the Kickstarter would love to see some videos to hold us over for the next week. :)

It's almost here just a little bit more waiting and then we will finally be able to take part in The Stomping Land. For those of you who haven't heard the game is set to come out on May 30th for everyone! The game will be $25.00 so if you haven't saved up now would be the time! For more information on this update please look at the Early Access Trailer and Date announcement above.

For all of those who haven't heard The Stomping Land early access will most likely be available in April. If not the game will release in May. This is a confirmed date from jig himself. The game will be released after a final, final update. Check the link in the Day 6 update for the official post from jig.

Be sure to keep updated next week because according to the devs this is the final update before the game is released and it looks like it is going to be a big one.
