Malakaii and Myself g flight back from dominican republic today. sad to be leaving the caribbean but will be good to get back to the game :) were actually travelling back in time, leavinetg here at 6pm and arriving in the uk at 7am, figure that out. When were back we need to get some serious gaming done, i should be back in swansea from the first :)

Hi everyone, we have a new L4D server that seems to work a lot better than the last one. The IP is: 85.234.148.43:27125

The use it from a lobby, use the console command:
ms_force_dedicated_server "85.234.148.43:27125"

Better still, you can bind this to a key (here I've used F4) by using this console command:
bind "F4" "ms_force_dedicated_server 85.234.148.43:27125"

The new server also has a search key "rof2", you should still be able to use the search key method to connect if you wish.

Wait! It gets better, we have an in-game admin plugin. I can add you to the list of admins if you want, just message me your steam id (go into a l4d game and type 'status' into the console).

One you are an admin, you can access an in-game admin menu by using the console command:
sm_admin

Or do what I've done and bind that to Capslock using this command:
bind "capslock" "sm_admin"

so when you press capslock it brings up the admin menu.

I'm testing out some server plugins also, currently we have a plugin that lists your damage to the infected and one that enables AI infected in versus if there aren't enough players.

Now that most of us have finished Uni for the summer, we have to get our gaming on.

I'm gonna be available for way more L4D sessions - finally - but also hoping to get back into some serious TF2'ing again at some point. Pyro needs re-enforcements, so I hope to see some of you on the servers showing the gaming world how it's meant to be played :)

Other than that, for those of us who have a long summer break ahead - enjoy. I know I will.

I second that man! Also, wish us luck, 6 of us are now official on teh Gamebattles american ladder for L4d, clan matches start soon :) ALso, TF2 needs to be reclaimed, weve elt it slip with all these zombies around lol. See you guys in game :)

So we've got our L4D server back for another month. It should be on the list under steam group servers in-game. You can also use it as a dedicated server to play on from the lobby- to use it just add:


+sv_search_key rof1


to the launch options (right click > properties > launch options), or type that without the plus in the console before you start searching for a server. I think this only works if the server is empty though.

You can also be a rcon admin (in-game admin):

Login: mh13631admin
Password: gf5DIdyNbX

Once you've logged in through the console you should be able to change pretty much anything as long as you know the console commands, there's a list here:
